About this listen

Nab the criminals, enjoy a pint, and avoid being the hero destiny demands!

Lennox chased scum across the galaxy, bringing them to justice until one day, a target generates a very illegal black hole to flee through. Unable to escape it's might, Lennox is ripped from everything he's ever known and brought to a fantasy world with a system interface.

On Komax, two forces battle in a never ending war. The Scaly Faction consist of lizard people, their fearsome pets, and their allies of mythical monsters. The Ordinatus Faction consists of elves, dwarves, and humans who repel attacks, eradicate nests, and try to gather enough supplies to survive the peaceful winters.

Lennox's years of training and hardened body transfer to Komax in amazing ways. His stats are incredibly high, his space items become a legendary weapon and armor he doesn't toss out. Oh, and Lennox starts off half a foot taller than the average man.

However impressed the locals are, their jubilance or jealousy lands flat. Lennox isn't big on being a hero, enjoying being left alone to do whatever the hell he pleases. To him, fate can sit and spin while he tips back a frothy ale as a fabled lone wolf. The problem is, fate is indeed fickle and life seems to find a way of thrusting heroes into daring situations they'd rather avoid.

Join Lennox as he adapts to his new fantasy world!

Check This One Out

Right up front I'm going to say that I recommend you check this book out. For me the most important question is whether or not I found the story entertaining and here the answer was yes. I followed along with the eBook version as I listened to the story and then decided to leave a review in both places. I am familiar with Ellory Lane past works and I have never known her to deliver less than a fantastic performance. Dylan Wheeler on the other hand is a narrator that I've never come across before. I think he did a great job as well and I do intend to check out “Awakening the Angel System” next where he partners again with Ellory. Back to this book though I want to take due caution not to spoil anything as the author has ended the story on a soft close. In other words, if the book does well the gentleman may come back and do a sequel but if not, the readers at least have a good ending to a one-off story. Our main character is a 32-year-old bounty hunter That we are introduced to as he's about to catch a bounty in space. His universe is sci-fi in nature. His bounty however decides to choose the nearby black hole and our hero gets sucked in with him. Through some story magic they end up on the other side in a place where nobody has ever returned from. It's a fantasy game like world controlled by some sort of ultra powerful God like being. Our hero is physically changed to match this new universe and in part ends up as a 7-foot tall, ripped man looking like he's in his late 40s. He is still classified as a bounty hunter. We do find out early on that he's got no wife or kids and thus sends his goodbye message to a handful of one-night stands and hunter friends for lack of a better descriptor. As the story progresses, we do find out a little bit more about the universe he came from in that the government has this sort of tax where people give up the genetic building blocks to create life that in my mind is birthing a child in an iron womb. The kids are then raised in these pods before eventually taking up whatever task they're destined for or test well for. Back in the fantasy world he's given hope that he might one day be able to return to his universe. Fairly early on he ends up with this ghost manager who has a chance to live again but for the time being is his talking horse that only he can hear. I'm probably not doing a great job at describing this story, but it was cool, and I am trying not to spoil anything. The authors afterward in the eBook mentions the fact that he served in Afghanistan and Iraq and that our main character embodies some of the men and women that he appears to have met over there. That the main character doesn't really fit in this fantasy world. The afterward is also where he mentions that one day in the future the readers may see a sequel. I think I've prattled a long enough so I will simply say well done to everybody who had a hand and bringing the story to us the Amazon readers and audiobook listeners.

A one and done.

I didn’t really have a lot of expectations with this besides the fact it is Han Yang and Royal Guard gifted me with this review/code.
Han Yang has a way with creating MCs that have a thought process that grabs your attention that I feel is hard to turn away from. Which I enjoy. A lot. His character and who he is, is pretty constant. So that means there isn’t a lot of development which reminds me of those stand alone movies before the year 2000 and the beginning of the reign for movie series. It leaves an ending that can have a sequel but doubt there will be.

The story, without the MC and Han Yang’s writing style, would be pretty boring. I don’t like the world or how it works. It’s pretty basic and reminds me of internecine…

The narrators performed well and I would like to hear them in other books.

I thank Royal Guard once more for this opportunity!

Now one of my favorite Yang books!

I never know what I'm going to get with Yang. Sometimes it's a good book and sometimes, like this, it's a GREAT book.
I really hope there's going to be a second book!
Space Bounty Hunter gets pulled into a fantasy world by the crimal he's chasing. And he's now got to find the criminal on this new strange world. And the gods are helping them both and watching them for their own enjoyment.
Loved it❣️
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Great start to a promising new series!

Han Yang scored another home run with this one! I loved the World of Komax and the excellent character build in Lennox that keeps you wondering what will happen next and eager to find out.
Be it this one or ANY Han Yang book I give it a 5-star recommendation!

good popcorn fiction

This is one of those fast paced novels with an isekai protag that jumps right into the action. The MC goes from space cowboy to what equates to the Punisher in a medieval fantasy setting. There is a bit of an over powered MC aspect so if you are into that and fast paced action this one can be for you.

Great book. Exceeded expectations

The box started off with action and ended with action. I enjoyed the characters and the main never seemed completely overpowered. He gets grievously injured and loses equipment and people regularly.

The only con was I felt the ending was a bit rushed. But it did make sense that his rival hadn't just sat around doing nothing the whole time. So I gave it a pass.

I am the law

Isekai law man coming in hot and I'm here for it. Voice work is incredible and a nice blend of action and comedy with a world filled with comedy but like every single protagonist he does have his own flaws

Lennox the Warden

This was a pleasant read. It had good story progression and great character development. You see, the experienced MC, Lennox, develop and soften throughout the book. He may have grey hair but he is not old. He came into this world already OP at level 75. Looking forward to the next adventure with Lennox and Anna, his horse but not really.

Wonderful

A bounty Hunter from a sci-fi universe is thrust into a fantasy universe and immediately goes about bounty hunting. He sets some civic scenes right and slowly works his way towards resolving problems at the power that be taken care of. Ultimately, he finds his way back to his universe with the option to return should he want to.
This is a wonderful story it’s entertaining, well paced, excellent world building, and character development. There is minimal recitation of stats and stats screens so the reader is not bogged down however, we learn as the main character does how the magic system of this world works how the gamification system of the world works. in all, it’s a highly enjoyable story that I truly recommend, please enjoy.
