the main character is an idiot they try to dress him up like he was smart but everything he does is stupid the story gets worse at the end of book 2 and onwards in fact the if there is aware that the main character is stupid because so many characters call him an idiot by far one of the dumbest characters in this entire genre

I've read through most of the other comments. They are accurate. Story isn't consistent, Mc is dumb, the shadow girl is one of the worst characters I've seen in a book in a long time.
It's worth a credit if you're bored. Otherwise don't bother.

The story is everywhere

Store is all over the place. Every trope,about cultivation is in this book hundred times over. it’s quite annoying. I mean how many times can you say I’m gonna kill you and feed you to a dog. Apparently quite a few times. You dare! You are courting, death! Anyway, it’s only halfway through the book. I’m tired of it.
The story is all over the place. Nobody’s emotions make sense either extremely nice or extremely aggressive nothing in between. Main character always has something to push him through the scene. Everybody calls the guy a stupid kid, but never explain to him anything and then just keep calling him Stupid kid when he gets it wrong. Oh my god that’s poor writing.

Narrators are decent. A bit of overacting but bearable.

There’s 13 hours of this book left. I can’t listen to the rest.

The narration is great but the story seemed to stretch every action and repeat the feelings of characters over and over in the same chapter. How many times am I going to hear the MC whine about wine? I tried but I could not finish this.

It literally took all the bad things from all the cultivator books and put them all in one story all the side characters will annoy you also I was trying to finish it but I'm moving on to another book had 10hrs left just could not finish it.

How dare you post a young adult LitRPG overladen with tropes and cliches? Insolent author! Feel the wrath of my eight finger acid burn review! Yes, the text is like that.

Everyone in the book is psychotic, always ready to snap and murder for the most trivial of insults. This society would completely dissolve in hours. The author has issues, needs therapy. Whatever. Terrible BUT ... kind of a fun cultural read. For a little while in any case. I read book 1 and a couple hours into book 2 before I needed to stop and re-evaluate my life.
