About this listen

In a world where the human mind can be given a synthetic body, the line between man and machine is blurred.

Despite the authority of the Sol Federation, major corporations hold most of the power. When the head of one such company, Chief Executive Julian Huxley, is killed, his body is left undiscovered for over three years.

Arbiter Tycho Barrett is sent to investigate the executive's death, but what he finds reveals more than he could have imagined.

Now, Tycho must search for an android who was once human, forcing him to question everything around him.

There are secrets here, written in blood and polymer, and they threaten to fundamentally change mankind's place in the universe.

After all, if so much of the body can be replaced by wires and circuitry, what does that say for the human soul?

Get ready to experience the second volume in the best-selling Sol Arbiter series. If you're a fan of Altered Carbon, Dredd, or Blade Runner, you'll love this engrossing cyberpunk epic.

A Family Reunion in the making

The beginning was like what's going on, but as you continue to listen it starts to make sense. The rejoining of Section 9 came at a critical junction and the mission became clear, now if they can only survive to complete it. Downloading book 3 for more adventure

Can I have another?

I hope they put out the third one soon. The wait is going to kill me.

An incredible continuation

If you liked the first one, you'll like this. Maybe even moreso, actually. The plot is exciting and the writing is great. I'm constantly impressed with the quality as I listen to J.N. Chaney books. He's one of the best and most prolific scifi authors out there. It seems like he has a knack for picking good writing partners, and Jia Shen is no different. Shen brings a sophistication to the work that I really appreciate. Intricate fight scenes and detailed scifi that combine for the type of story you'd expect from the classics of old. I've heard this will be a six book series and I really hope the quality keeps up with what we've seen so far. From what people are saying, each entry just gets better, but I'm an audiophile, so I'll have to wait before I find out.

Keep up the great work and let's get that third entry soon!

Awesome

Where's the third one?! I need more of this! It's been a while since I got into a series like this. There's basically no good cyberpunk stories coming out these days, so when I found this I was blown away. More please!

Solid Followup

Chaney brings us another trippy cyberpunk adventure in the follow up to Sol Arbiter. Like the first book, it's a slow burn that eventually becomes a wildfire before too far in. We learn more about the characters that were introduced in the previous book and meet a couple new faces that I have no doubt will pop up again. Where this book really stands out is it's exploration of technology and the impact on society. Without giving anything away, there's a twist comparable to the first book that changed how I interpreted the entire story.
