About this listen

After a soldier is left for dead, Eva Delgado's life begins to unravel.

The truth of what happened remains a mystery, and the government will stop at nothing to keep it buried.

Together with the unit's medic, Eva finds herself branded a terrorist and enemy of the state, hunted by two opposing governments.

When the pair uncover a plot that could have ramifications for the whole galaxy, they know they have to act, but it will take all of their training, cunning and just a bit of luck to do what no one else has achieved.

But what do you do when every secret begets another? And how far will you go to find the answers?

Excellent story!

Loved the storyline, especially since the main characters are badass females, who don't go down easily.

The world/system created was easy to understand abd follow; not elementary, but also so complicated that it becomes convoluted.

It took me about 3-4 chapters for the narrator to grow on me. But after that, I was good.

Looking forward to book two!

Good story.

Good story but don't look for any realism where military discipline is concerned. No branch of military service would allow a subordinate to question their commanding officer like the main character does, let alone her insubordination.

Wow. Not what I expected.

I started this book with an open mind, though I must've been expecting something. Anyone who says women can't write military scifi have been reading the wrong authors. This is no longer a boys club, if it ever was. Yes, there's a romance element, but this isn't a romance book. Plenty of blood, cool weapons, and violence. And a completely plausible character. So plausible, I wonder how much of one or both authors have experienced what she went through.

This story also expands on the Renegade Star universe. It answers questions I didn't know I had, like "how bad are the Sarkonians, really?" Hint: Jace wasn't kidding about how bad either side was.

Well done. On to book 2!

good beginning

At first I wasn't sure I was going to like this book. It was a bit dark. I'm glad I continued to listen because this seems to be a series that I am going to enjoy.
