Publisher's summary

At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. Until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.

Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one. A world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.

But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he's next on the menu.

Like starting high school isn't hard enough. Now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended! How in the world is he supposed to do that?

Critic reviews

“The imagination of Kenyon is a wonder to behold and an amazing place to visit!” —Romantic Times (Top Pick!)

“I have to admit that at the conclusion of the epilogue, I was already anticipating the next installment of the series...Mr. Graham was able to portray Nick beautifully and catch all of the eccentricities that abound in Infinity.” —TeensReadToo.com

“While action abounds, listeners are never sure who the good guys are and whether they should be rooting for Nick. Holter Graham successfully paces the action to keep things moving and gives voice to a myriad of non-human characters, most often in life-threatening, over-the-top situations, easily switching from the New Orleans lilt of Bubba to the sweet cadences of Nekoda, Nick's would be love interest.” —School Library Journal

Great YA book, and Pretty Good Narrator!

The book is a great young adult novel. I have read Sherrilyn Kenyons adult Dark Hunter Series, and this is a spin off of it for young adults. It is a great start to a YA series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and the narrator is pretty good too.

I love the snark!

I do love all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's work, but I'm worried that the previous story lines that I've come to know and love from the Dark Hunter books will end up compromised by time being rewritten.
Of course I'm going to finish the series because my concern has nothing to do with the quality of the books, which pull me in every time.

Great book!!!! To short.

Great spin off! You will of needed to read the dark hunter serious to understand many things in the story. But, great book and the narrator is one of my favorites. I only wish the book was longer. 8 hrs just doesn't seem like enough.

Infinity

This was a great book! Sherilyn has done it again! I love and enjoyed the humor and wit of all the characters especially of (believe it or not) Bubba. Could not put book down! Holter Graham should always read all of dark hunters books. He brings each character to life with their own quirks. Great Narrator!!!

Dark Hunters Univers Alternative Timeline

I read almost all of the books from the dark hunter series, when I found out about this series.
Dark hunter series is for mature audience, and this book is intended for teens.
The book is really good, one of the minor characters in DHUniverse is brought to us as the main hero, with the help of time travel, magic, and godhood powers of the author.

if you haven't read any of the of the DH books before , unfortunately you will miss about 15% of funny and interesting moments in the book, but without any doubt you will enjoy it.

PS
New Star Trek movie and this book have something similar.
Just like ST universe DH universe had more than 20 books and everything was explained and going towards happy ending, but suddenly Vulcan was destroyed and they are no longer major power,so What will happen differently?
Something similar happened in DH universe, and in my opinion it made the universe more exciting.
