Publisher's summary

Five years ago, he broke her heart. Now, he'll do anything to win her back.

Farrah: When Farrah walked into her lunch meeting, she didn't expect to see him. Blake Ryan. Her first love. Her first heartbreak. And now, her first client as a freelance interior designer.

It's been five years, but she'll never forget the way he shattered her. He whispers pretty words, but she'll never believe him. Her body craves his, but she'll never give him her heart.

Not again. Not ever.

Blake: Money. Looks. A booming sports bar empire. On the surface, Blake has it all. But inside, he's haunted—both by nightmares of a tragic loss, and dreams of the girl he once betrayed.

When fate reunites them, he sees it as a sign: It's time to get the love of his life back. No matter what it takes.

Contains mature themes.

Much Better Than The First Book

This book was faster paced. More angst and action which I like. Not crazy about the female narrator’s voice. Loved male narrator’s voice.

Part 2 of Blake and Ferrah’s story!

I was heartbroken when the first book in the series before this but I’m glad they ended up happy together. I had a bad feeling about that Cleo character.

The well deserved ending

I was highly anticipating book 2 of Farrah and Blake's story. Blake absolutely destroyed me along with Farrah in book 1. I didn't know if he could redeem himself and I absolutely understand why Farrah didn't want to let him back in. The devastation he left behind in Singapore was big.

We get to see Farrah and Blake 5 years after their Singapore relationship ended in flames. Both of their hearts were torched and even though years have past, the flames still burned hot between them.

The story gave me all the feels. My heart broke, but we put back together. Blake redeemed himself in both my and Farrah's eyes. I fell hell over heals with him again as these two found their way back to one another.

I loved getting an update on all of the friends in this story as well.

I listened to this one and the narrators did a great job with the story.

A good listen

You have to listen to book #1 in order to listen and understand book #2; however, as a huge fan of Ana Huang, this wasn't my favorite. The performance kept me invested.

The audiobook readers make the book

I’m glad this book wrapped up Blake and Farrah’s story. But it was kind of cringe in so many parts.
