but i’m just wondering why there was no discussion of the fact that A** is a literal sexual predator? it was weird that we were supposed to consider that whole situation to just be *unconventional.* all i could think was “JAIL.”

This book was an incredible read! I finished it in two days! There were so many unexpected twists that kept the book exciting. The narration was impeccable. I can't wait to read more by Adele Parks and you won't be disappointed with this title.

It was so good, such a page turner. It may need a part 2. I felt the end was abrupt, but satisfying.

Kept my attention the entire time

Love Joanne Froggatt, so I knew the narration would be great! Loved the characters and felt like I knew each of them, but the story itself was way too drawn out and the ending a bit underwhelming.

Spoiler Alert!

The idea of a 38-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy really disturbed me. I could NOT get past this. It was cringy and upsetting to me. I had a really hard time managing my feelings about the subject matter as I continued to listen to this book. No doubt, it was very well written, but I didn't enjoy it because I spent too much time yelling aloud and suffering inside for the family and the young man.

Important question to ask anyone reading or listening to this story. If the genders were reversed and the predator was a 38-year-old man and the victim was a 17-year-old girl, what would. you think?

Narrator is fantastic, as always. Love her!

So many twists I couldn't stop listening - this felt real and I hope it never really happens to anyone. The characters weren't perfect which feels true to life and the humor was the icing on the cake

Manipulationship at its finest

It wasn’t until I finished the book that I could appreciate the pacing and how the many complex layers needed to be revealed. This story slowly draws you in but it’s the incredible character development that keeps you gripped to find out more. It’s witty, cringe worthy, frustrating and hopeful. It’s definitely a story about relationships and the good, bad and twisted things that can happen.

Narration was excellent!
