Publisher's summary
You should consider what are your long-term and short-term goals? Are you planning for retirement or just for a nice new car? Once your goal is clear, you can set a practical way to achieve that goal. How much money is coming in? What are the risks and rewards with your plan?
Do you or will you have student loans? It is important that providers make sure you know what your financial obligations are in relation to paying your debt. Work them into your budget every month and do what you can do pay down your student loan debt when you can.
Money management is a crucial process for attaining financial success by managing money that includes expenses, investments, budgeting, banking, and taxes.
It enables you to know where your money is going and also it helps you plan your budget wisely. It's a fundamental process that determines what you can do and what you can't.
If you are behind, as many are, when it comes how much you are saving for retirement, get in high gear and catch up. Adding a little extra per month than you normally would to your retirement plan, can catch you up faster than you think it will. Especially, if it concerns your 401k, because your employer will match a certain percentage of your contribution. You must figure out how much revenue versus expenses you have. This requires following a strict budget and adhering to it always.
If you're working on improving your personal budget, one easy way to get yourself in the mindset is to get your paycheck put directly into an investment account rather than checking or cash. This way you pay yourself first, think of this as a tax but you get it for retirement. This will help get you in the habit of saving money and not thinking of it all as disposable income. In order to be economically wise, all of your disposable income must now be considered as investment funds, only to be spent on assets that return you funds at a good rate.

Story
Have you ever been overwhelmed with the desire to possess something the first time you laid eyes on it? Money should never control you; it should be the other way around. If you control your money, you won’t be living the kind of life reminiscent of a millionaire, but you save yourself from stress, worry, and debt. Financial control means that before you even touch your money, you know where it’s supposed to go, how you’re supposed to spend it, and when you’ll spend it. This is where budget comes in.

Investing in your future is easier than you think—discover how and achieve financial security more quickly than you can possibly imagine. Young adults are especially financially vulnerable because they’re just starting out, want a lot of “stuff,” and are not earning the big bucks yet. So, they’re borrowing too much and saving too little (if at all), and they’re in a financial mess. But it doesn’t have to be like that. Instead, imagine a life where you have peace of mind, because your financial affairs are in order, and you’re on the right path to building wealth.

We are seeing more women in the workforce than ever before, but despite reaching high-paying successful positions, women struggle with growing their wealth and maintaining finances. Most of the time, this struggle stems not from the inability to monitor and budget the money; rather, it originates from the lack of education and recourses that are available for young women or women in general. For some, financial education might be Everest, but even the most dangerous mountains can be conquered with the right information, patience, and resilience.

If you have the guts to complete it, you will be the proud owner of a million-dollar business.

I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

Helpful book
I found this book to be exactly what I need to start getting my spending under control. This book provides a way of doing a personal budget that actually makes sense to me. I can have enough flexibility to have the things I really want when I cut out the things that don't really matter. It provides a way of looking at the things I automatically spend money on to try to see if there are better ways of getting what I want. I am grateful for this realistic way of looking at handling money.

Enjoyed it
This book explains everything in a way that even an inexperienced person would understand it. If you want to minimize the amount of money you are spending, spend it right. Buy what you need and not want you. We sometimes buy things we only want and not our needs. Always have a checklist whenever you go to the market or in malls. That way, you can minimize your spending. Overall, I enjoyed listening to this book. Thanks!
