Great Beginners guide to training a horse!

I’m completely new to the world of training horses, and this book does such a great job of helping beginners understand the basics of horsemanship! It’s extremely detailed and easy to follow.

From chapter 1, the author emphasizes that horses will learn from your body language and just like humans, horses have a “flight or fight mode”. I was clueless about how the position of a horses tail tells you what they are communicating (e.g - high tail means they are alert, while a low hanging tail means they are submitting to you). Incredible book filled with tons of gems- would recommend to anyone interested in owning or learning more about horses!

Great Horsemanship Principles!

I’m not a trainer or a horse handler, but I wanted to try horseback riding with my wife, and this book helped a great deal! We didn’t want to go into our horseback riding lessons clueless, and this audiobook gave us the needed knowledge. The instructor was even impressed with how much we knew, plus we noticed he made a few mistakes while handling the horse. 😊

Helped me Become a Better Trainer

This book gave me all the experience I needed to become a better trainer for my horses. I've learned a lot that hasn't been said about horsemanship, and the key essence of being a good keeper to my babies. This book is keeping me close in every step of my journey and I love that. I've gained some great knowledge that I can implement in nurturing my horses

Horsemanship is Therapy!!!!

It's always been a dream of mine to have a horse or 2, or 3!! I have always admired those who can gain the respect of a horse. I frequent the trail rides of southern Louisiana and Texas and I can see myself as possessing great horsemanship for my future horse. I am excited to have come across this amazing book. It’s packed with an abundance of information and I have learned so much about the sensitivity of the horse, how to communicate and treat the horse as a child, the pecking order and how to maintain the order most importantly. What I love the most about this book is the author’s openness and transparency with the traumas experienced as a child and how the horse played a vital role in the healing part of the life story. As a trauma victim myself I can completely understand how having a connection with a horse brings more value than just a fun ride, or winning a competition!! With this 3 book beginner combination all in 1, I am set with everything I need to start my journey into Horsemanship. Thank you Augustus for this great creation.

My parents recently bought a horse and I wanted to get some more information on how to interact with it. This audiobook goes above and beyond preparing you for everything. I learned so much and I can implement the knowledge right away. The narrator is good too. Totally recommend!

Love that it comes with a PDF!

As a newbie to riding horses, I've gotten so much out of this 101! And having the PDF to refer to has been a giant help. I love the way this is laid out, with expertise, but also really understanding that there is a learning curve. Great narrator too. This is a good one!
