Highly recommend this book! The author compares the the English and Western riding techniques in a very informative way. I found the safety information to be the most important: how to behave around the horse and while riding. This book is a must have if you're interested in learning to ride.

This superb listen covers all things beginning horseback riding from owning your horse to providing your safety. There are many responsibilities to owning and riding a horse, but this book makes it interesting and fun. I wanted to get on horseback and get going after listening to this. Loved the part about the horse's many gaits as well. Feel confident in knowing that all aspects of horseback riding are covered. A must listen. Highly recommended for anyone interested in this activity.

This is a great listen for anyone who is interested in learning how to ride horses. I'm a complete newbie who has typically been a little afraid of horses, but I do want to learn. This is written in a way that is helpful for beginners, but goes deep on the things that seem to really matter when learning. Specifically, I appreciate the fact that the author gives details about little things like how to approach a horse and what to wear - these are some of the things that I worried about :)

A fantastic read for anyone interested in horseback riding instruction.

The book provides insight into many aspects of horseback riding, including what to wear, how to behave around horses and other equestrians, the tack used, and much more. It is designed with novices in mind and, despite being in-depth in some sections, is still simple to grasp.

I found the author's comparison of the various similarities and distinctions between the English and Western riding techniques to be extremely interesting. There is also a fantastic chapter on horse safety, which is of the utmost importance. This book should absolutely be on your reading list if you're interested in horses in general or learning to ride a horse.

Whether you want to do this professionally or as a hobby, the information in this book is thorough and provides you with the knowledge of how to ride your horse, the different riding styles, and of course, the safety measures when embracing this fun activity.

This audiobook is the complete package. The author has done a fantastic job of laying out the steps for beginners to start their journey with horseback riding. The chapters are laid out in the correct order that someone would tackle horseback riding. As someone who has never ridden before, having the chapter on Understanding the Basics and Safe Riding was essential. The narration is clear and easy to follow. When listening, you feel like you're conversing with a trainer in real life. I suggest this book to anyone in my life who is looking to start horseback riding!

I was a little skeptical that you could learn to ride a horse with a book, but I stand corrected. The author gives really easy-to-follow instructions, and it's easy to imagine putting them into action. I can't wait to get on a horse and try everything out. Awesome narrator, too.

I have always wanted to start horseback riding, but have been intimidated and found it to be an unapproachable hobby to get into. Later in life especially,

It was so nice to hear about specific and detailed things to look out for when riding. I feel so much more comfortable given the amount of knowledge that this book has provided me with. I feel completely comfortable and excited to get started.

Definitely recommend it- this book has given me the courage to sign up for my first session :)
