About this listen
An alluring merman whose dark blue gaze tempts her like a siren's call...
Levi Devlin is a chef and owner of the popular seafood restaurant Poseidon's Trident. Levi only has one rule for his customers to follow: Don't waste food. Because Levi will literally throw out anyone who doesn't follow this rule he's earned the nickname The Brawler Chef. The last thing on Levi's mind was falling in love with a human female but when fate causes his path to cross with action heroine Vivien Tempest he's shark bait.
A dazzling actress who blinds him like the sun, and is as unreachable...
Vivien Tempest strives to be acknowledged as a serious actress. Unfortunately, the action heroine has been typecast as a zombie killer. When Director Maverick offers her the chance to play a free-spirited princess in The Little Merman, Vivien knows this is her big chance! Which is why when Vivien discovers Levi's secret - that he's a merman - she instantly blackmails him into starring in the movie with her as the merprince.
And the handsome actor with a sensuous smile who comes between them...
Dylan Black became an actor in order to gain money, power, and millions of worshipping humans, er, fans at his feet - and he succeeded. However, in order to accomplish his ultimate endgame he needs to find the right woman to fall in love with. When he sees that Levi has set his sights on Vivien, he knows that she must be special and intends to steal her away. But in the end can money really buy love?

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Awesome book!
This is definitely a book for merman lovers! The writing was just as good as ever! leaves just enough to the imagination! Levi having such a tortured past, and being so strong, naive, and his purity of innocence is an amazing character to follow. The narrators voice is perfect for this roll. His voice was perfect to show both the strength and chaos inside Levi. Justin's voice makes it much easier to see how hard Levi's struggle to survive in our world is. Although it starts out a little slowly, it picks up quickly. And as always Kurokoneko leaves us with a great cliffhanger ending!

This was a great story, there were a few parts that I cringed at, but more often I laughed. It was refreshing to see the blushing virgin be male for a change, and Levi was assuredly someone sexy and fun to read.

Interesting world building, with great narration!
This new to me author created a fun and complex modern day world. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I definitely recommend if you are looking for something different. It does end on a cliffhanger, and I do not believe that the next book is out in audio as I write this review. But when it does come out, I will be grabbing it. I am hoping it will be narrated by Justin Cipriano Usle. He really brought the characters to life.
On a side note, there were some mouth watering dishes served up by Levi, one of the main characters, and I would implore the author to offer these recipes up...I was hungry listening to this book, lol!

Phenom Merman Life Story
The most amazing story ever written. A hidden gem by KuroKoneko Kamen! And the narration by Justin Cipriano Usle is win-plus!
As mermen are rarely ever given a full stage, Hollywood Merman combines all of the greats such as X-Men, King Kong (classic), Tarzan, Planet of the Apes - to name a few. It portrays the immortal life story of Levi Devlin from his beginnings out of the sea to the surface world among humans. His struggles are universal and as realistic as a man living in a world that opposed his existence.
Without giving away the ending, I will say it is remarkable with a twist as much as the journey there. I am so gratified to have discovered this masterpiece. ♥

Hollywood great audio
Wow it’s a great paranormal merman story. The author told it by every detail . He also has a great imagination. It’s also human nature not to understand what you don’t know (the merman ) and human nature Human to want to control and change the world.
This showed how life is . It’s also a great love story.
This is the first narrator I heard from Justin Cipriano ? He was very good. His voice was good and he knew how to make the different points in the story

good book!
I received this book for free.
I did enjoy the story quite a bit & loved all the characters in it. The author has a wonderful & creative imagination. The choice for voice actor was fantastic, I really enjoyed his ability to change accents & sound accurate. The reason for the 4 star on the story is that there were quite a few places where the story lagged & I felt frustrated listening to it at times.

Interesting story
While this book started out slow for me and that slowness caused me to not be able to focus during the first part of it, I was able to get through that and loved the interesting concept of a merman hiding his identity while playing a merman in a movie.
