About this listen

A man hiding from his nature

Henry Flanders never dreamed his past would catch up to him. After all, the man he used to be is dead and buried. He made a clean break with life in the CIA. He moved to Bliss under a new name. For years he has been living a dream, married to his lovely Nell. Now a miracle has happened, and they have a baby on the way. Life is perfect, or rather it was until a violent cartel showed up in Bliss ready to reap their bloody vengeance on the man he used to be.

A woman shaken to her foundation

Nell Flanders has never met a problem she couldn’t handle, but discovering her husband isn’t the man she thought was more than she was prepared for. How can she trust Henry, when John Bishop - the ruthless man he used to be - keeps bringing deadly problems to their door? She has a beautiful life growing inside her, and now she isn’t sure her marriage can survive long enough to welcome their child into the world.

A reckoning that will shake Bliss to its core

Henry isn’t willing to give up on his life with Nell, but it’s going to take some Bliss magic to overcome the forces pulling them apart. When the full weight of Henry’s past comes to bear on the town and the bullets start flying, it might just be Bishop, and some old friends, who can save the day and win back her heart.

Waiting has never been so sweet

Nell has probably had the longest pregnancy in history. I’m so glad I waited to listen to this story until it’s place in the full chronological order. Thank you Lexi. It was worth the wait

Love Bliss

I loved being back in Bliss and listening to this audiobook. The narrators were wonderful as usual and they bring the characters and story to life. It was great to see the next chapter in Henry and Nell’s love story with the arrival of their baby.

So Happy!

Happily Ever after in Bliss is just as amazing as all of the previous Bliss books. I've read the book, but always have to listen when they're released!!! Henry (John Bishop) and Nell are so adorable together! There are so many feels in this book. From tears of sadness and heart ache to tears of joy for babies and for heroes saving the day! Then the laughs, too many to count. Thank you Lexi/Sophie and another fantastic narration by Kitty Bang and Lee Samuel!! ❤❤❤❤

Loved it, but….

Finally, Nell and Henry’s story..and I have to say, it didn’t disappoint..a lot.

We knew this was coming for a few books now and now that’s it’s here, I didn’t realize that I wouldn’t like Nell at times. I mean, don’t get me wrong, Henry lied (although he did want to tell her about his past before they married and she didn’t want to hear it, so…) Any who, once the truth is out, while Nell had every right to be upset, especially with the danger looming, but she was petty and at times, judgmental. She whined, and her dialogue was a bit childish and naive at times, which I guess is technically Nell. The other thing that threw me (I’ll have to listen to it again) is the storyline regarding Henry’s (John’s) destiny and the cartel. Why they came looking for him was a bit trite. Then there was a secondary issue with a former CIA student and a movie star that I didn’t get at all (I think this is a nod to the other series)..it was like this issue was thrown in unnecessarily. I guess just to be able to introduce the characters into the story so they can save him at the end. Either way, I found it confusing.

The final thing that I find irritating every time an author does it is..Henry’s life and maybe even Nell’s is in danger, we know the cartel is coming…why does the security lack at some point knowing the danger is still there. It makes no sense. It didn’t seem like they were taking everything seriously at all.

Overall, I loved the story even with the hiccups..and finally Nell and Henry can be their true selves and raise their little girl. We got to see the other couples in Bliss and the set up of Micheal in the next story. All in all, still it’s a winner.

I LOVE Bliss!!!!

This installment of Nights in Bliss was just as fun as every other title. It's awesome to get Nell and Henry all sorted and visit with the rest of the crew in Bliss. Also, any time we get visits from the folks in other series, it makes the experience even better. You can bet with some John Bishop trouble, there's some folks from Dallas that will get involved in the story. Also, depending on where you are with the Lost Boys, you'll recognize the time frame of this story within their world. I love Lexi Blake beyond words and reason!

I want to talk about narrators and if you've ever heard me go on about the Bliss books not being narrated by Ryan West, you'll know it's a common theme for me to complain about. Do I think he'd have done a better job? Well, of course. Having said that, I want the publishers to know something. If a book doesn't have a live narrator, I refuse to purchase it. Period. I'll fight to the end to make sure Kitty Bang and Lee Samuels and any other live narrator are the ones getting the work.

It has come to my attention that some publishers hope to increase their profits by eliminating the voice actors from audiobooks. They're ready to go all in on A.I. just so they can not have to pay the actors. Oh, they'll claim it's to get the books to the public faster but the bottom line is profit margin. I believe several of my favorite authors self publish or have control over who narrates their titles but many don't. If we as the readers/listeners don't speak out against this, our favorite narrators will suffer. So make sure you let the know how you feel.

Welcome back to Bliss!

I am a huge fan of Lexi Blake. I love that most of her stories are intertwine in this amazing world. Happy ever after in Bliss it is a long awaited story about Nell and Henry. Henry’s past has finally caught up to him and he needs to become John Bishop again to save the town he loves and his woman. It was wonderful to see Henry gets a lot of help in the past friends. Ian, Ten and even Kayla come back to help their old mentor. This would be a beautiful ending to the town of Bliss however we are extremely lucky that it will be continuing. And as always the narration was spot on.

This series is fantastic - but book is my least favorite

Nell was all kind of offended when she found out about Henry “John” and yet in their earlier story earlier in this series she knew he left and then showed back up with just his bag- he told her he had to leave with no explanation and now she gets offended and after all the other story lines with “bad guys” and she felt just in their outcomes now she is so judgement and accusatory- I felt Henry “John” was being unfairly held accountable for Nell’s sense of righteousness. Kinda made me feel sorry for Henry and turned me off of Nell. I am glad for their HEA - just not my favorite of this series…and I love this series. Even with this review, I recommend this series if you love HEA with steamy action and drama.

Lexi has done it again!

I absolutely loved the first story of Nell and Henry and how they met, but this story was even better. Nell finding out the truth about Henry is like them meeting for the first time and falling in love all over again. There were times I was a bit annoyed by Nell, I mean the man tried to tell her in the beginning who he was and she told him she didn’t care about his past.
This book put me through all the emotions, I was cracking up at the Lost Boys tactics, and Ian, Kayla and Tennessee saving the day. Getting to know Michael has made me excited for his, Lucy and Ty’s book.
