Grow the Concept
About this listen
Steven was a bright young kid who loved trying new things.
The problem was when things got tough, he would quit at the first sign of trouble.
His father was worried and so thought of a creative way to teach him why you should never give up.
This short story is a five-minute listen, to enjoy with your children. It will give them a simple new perspective on failure, setting them up for success in a life full of challenges.
A must-have for your child. Protect their dreams from never being fulfilled, just because they never learned this small lesson.

It can feel like we are pulling a cart behind us with all are troubles and worries; it slows us down, and we can become tired, depressed, even jealous, as life seems so easy for others. All we need to do is let go of the cart, and we will feel lighter and free, but often we have held onto it so long that it has become part of us. But often those dreams lie buried inside us. Hidden by fear or unworthiness or a lack of awareness of what could be. Asking is the only language to which the Universe can deliver a solution, understanding, illumination, or plan.

Jim Daly, president and CEO of Focus on the Family, is an expert in fatherhood - in part because his own 'fathers' failed him so badly. His biological dad was an alcoholic. His stepfather deserted him. His foster father accused Jim of trying to kill him. All were out of Jim's life by the time he turned 13. Isn't it odd - and reminiscent of the hand of God - that the director of the leading organization on family turned out to be a guy whose own background as a kid and son were pretty messed up?
