About this listen
Read by Seattle Seahawk’s quarterback Russell Wilson, Trevor Moawad’s long-time friend and business partner, with a foreword written and read by Ciara.
In this breakthrough book, the author of Wall Street Journal bestseller It Takes What It Takes provides life-changing, step-by-step guidance on how to successfully navigate adversity and defeat negativity by downshifting to neutral thinking.
It’s easy to be positive when everything is coming up roses. But what happens when life goes sideways? Many of us lapse into a self-defeating negative spiral that makes it hard to accomplish anything. Getting to Neutral is a step-by-step guide that shows listeners how to use mental conditioning coach Trevor Moawad’s innovative motivational system to defeat negativity and thrive.
Neutral thinking is a judgment-free, process-oriented approach that helps us coolly assess situations in high-pressure moments. Moawad walks listeners through how to downshift to neutral no matter how dire the situation. He shows us how to behave our way to success, how to determine and practice our values in a neutral framework, and how to surround ourselves with a team that helps us to stay neutral.
Filled with raw, inspiring stories of how Trevor navigated health challenges with neutral thinking as well as insights drawn from some of the world’s best athletes, coaches, and leaders, Getting to Neutral will help listeners learn to handle even the most complex and turbulent situations with calm, clarity, and resolve.

Our thought lives have incredible power over our mental, emotional, and even physical well-being. In fact, our thoughts can either limit us to what we believe we can do or release us to experience abilities well beyond our expectations. When we choose a mindset that extends our abilities rather than placing limits on ourselves, we will experience greater intellectual satisfaction, emotional control, and physical health. The only question is... how?

Very great
I enjoyed listening to Russell narrate the late Trevor’s words. A few things, stay away from negative, realize your situation in to how good or bad it could be, and don’t try to make everyone happy - rather focus on the ones you love and what will be best for them and yourself.

Great Story
Great story and advice. Sad that the writer is no longer with us but he showed how to fight thru difficult situations. I felt like there should have been more details for implementing the advice.

Love Trevor’s communication style & everything he writes is exceptional. Wish he was around to grace the world with more great books

Phenomenal messages from beyond life.
I don’t know if the author’s death made me more focused or more intent as a listener, but this book moved me. In fairness, I really loved It Takes What It Takes as well, but this book was more gripping. Knowing that he worked on this book with a clean understanding of his prognosis showed that he really cared about passing his process on. The fact that Russell Wilson recorded this for his deceased friend was another moving gesture. The content and messages are already applicable to changing your mindset, so coupling that with the weight of a man’s last message, you get an incredible book.
