About this listen
What happens when a mysterious and dangerously attractive stranger comes crashing into a detective's life?
Lyra is the kind of woman that people look at. Whether they want her or they want to be her. She is dazzling, charming, endlessly smart, and her sharp blue eyes burn through your very soul.
I wanted her. Right away. Even though it was wrong.
What did she want with someone ordinary like me?
What would I do when everything close to me began to fall apart?
Falling For Her is a captivating short story from the best-selling author of Her Royal Bodyguard.

Story
The isolated, sleepy little village of Timber Falls—built on the bend of a swift mountain river—swells during the summer months as tourists flock to town to run the river, lured there by the Class IV and Class V rapids. A gruesome murder of a college student—a river rat—brings the FBI to town. Lynn Carter, a disgraced LAPD detective, was offered an out—a position on a team of unorthodox FBI agents. When her commander sent her to Timber Falls—a town by only the stretch of the imagination—she had no idea she would find her peace there. No idea she might find love.

One rainy night, the unthinkable happens: Dylan Moran’s car plunges off the road into a raging river, his beautiful wife drowning as he struggles to shore. In the aftermath, through his grief, Dylan experiences sudden, strange visions: wherever he goes, he’s haunted by glimpses of himself. Story
When a young woman is found brutally murdered in her own apartment with an intricate pattern of lines carved into her face, Copenhagen police detectives Jeppe Korner and Anette Werner are assigned to the case. Soon, they establish a link between the victim, Julie Stender, and her landlady, Esther de Laurenti, who’s a bit too fond of drink and the host of raucous dinner parties with her artist friends. Esther also turns out to be a budding novelist - and when Julie turns up as a murder victim in the unfinished mystery she’s writing, the link between fiction and real life grows.

Loving someone you dont know changes everything.
This story is a tale of a life so unloved that you become someone you never intended to be. Jen Towers is a married detective who think she has everything. Then she meets Lyra who makes her feel things she did not know she could. The lies she tells her husband and work weave a life she never expected until it all fell apart. A husband where there is no spark, a job where a woman will never be promoted and a life settling for less. Jen and Lyra find something together even when Lyra is exposed as the spy for the drug cartel they still love. The ending will test what you believe to be right. A brilliant twist on a caged life.
