About this listen

A road map for healing from exhaustion, inside and out.

The economics are simple: You can't run on a deficit of energy and expect to feel well. Yet that is what we've come to expect from ourselves, as we have pushed farther and farther down the hole of fatigue and away from any semblance of being healthy.

But what if you had a simple road map to reclaiming your health and vibrancy? Nick Polizzi, author of The Sacred Science, and Pedram Shojai, OMD, and New York Times best-selling author of The Urban Monk and The Art of Stopping Time, provide:

  • Wisdom from the top scientists, physicians, and experts in traditional healing practices
  • A concise nuts-and-bolts understanding of what energy is and how we use it
  • An exploration of the key areas in which we have been depriving our body of energy

From our immune system to hormones to sleep patterns, Polizzi and Shojai offer methods for evaluating your individual needs, as well as safe, easy remedies for whole-body healing. Maximize the potential energy from the essential parts of your body and life so you can finally feel fully alive and find the fulfillment you deserve, both personally and professionally.

Fantastic Book!

I am an ER nurse. I have been a nurse for 8years. The more time I spend doing western medicine the more I see that there are other answers that may be better. I’m currently in a holistic nursing class that takes six months. This book was everything I’m learning in class except it was easy and accessible to the lay person. PLEASE PLEASE read. Well worth your time. I want to put out a huge thank you to the authors for putting some truth and light into the world through medicine.

Let me save you a credit

Hear me out. This book isn't bad per se, just very, very basic. If you have never in your entire life wondered about the state of your health and well-being, never done any research, never asked questions or tried anything, then you'll probably find this book enlightening and helpful. For the rest of us, it's made out of common-place wisdom. Eat well, sleep well, exercise, reduce stress, find your calling in life - and you're golden. Uh... thanks. There's nothing groundbreaking here - a fact, of which the authors seem to be aware, since they admit as much a few times. Not everything has to be groundbreaking, of course; sometimes well-known facts can be structured to present a practical new approach to the problem. Again, not the case here. I don't often feel like I wish I had my money back, but in this case, I really do.

Long story short, if this is your first time venturing into the topic, it's a good starter pack and will give you some idea of what you're dealing with. If you've been at it for a while, I recommend saving time and money.
