About this listen

There are a million ways to end up in the Alien Bride Lottery, but it takes only one.

Every unmarried female human over the age of 21 gets entered once a year. You can also accept extra entries for legal infractions—instead of paying a parking fine, for example, you can request an extra entry. Lots of women do that. I mean, why not? The chances are astronomical that your name will get chosen to be one of the hundred or so women who get shipped off to space every year.

Even if your name is drawn, the odds are slim that you'll match up with an alien who's looking for a mate. Most lottery-drawn women come back to Earth every year and resume their lives as if nothing changed.

But some don't. And no matter what, getting drawn in the Lottery means you have to compete in the Bride Games. Guess that's where I'm heading now.

I only hope I can avoid catching the eye of one of the giant, rainbow-hued brutes whose mission is to protect Earth—and who can claim me as a mate.

All because I was Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery…

Every book in the Khanavai Warrior Bride Games series is a standalone romance. Fans of Grace Goodwin, Laurann Dohner, and Ruby Dixon will love this steamy new series featuring gorgeous alien heroes and the sassy human women they choose as mates!

Includes bonus story Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery.

Fun Alien Game Show Romp

This is a mix of Galaxy Games, Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors, and Warriors of Sangrin. Future Earth is being protected by sexy aliens and they need women so a deal is made and the ladies have to put their name in the lottery for random selection to join a dating game.

This books sets the stage for the cast of game show characters that will make recurring appearances. The romance is what you would expect with just enough drama, action, and spice. It is a quick, low drama alien romance that was enjoyable to listen to and I appreciate both narrators so that helps too.

Pleasently surprised

I enjoyed this book alot more than I expected. . I do not like to spoil anything, so its up to each person to decide to choise a book or not. My favorite part actually was the extra story, which surprised me even more.

Coercive storyline unfortunately took over

On the plus side, Natalie was a feisty, smart cookie with a great sense of humor and Kav was an honorable warrior. The narration was excellent. And this provided a bonus novella.

On the downside, the short book length couldn’t sell the instant love. The one or two sex scenes were likewise short and therefore rather unsatisfying. And, my biggest disappointment was the prevalence of hurting women to advance the plot.

Unfortunately, this series involves drafting women into bridal slavery. Although there’s lip service to the idea that Earth women get final say as to whether to accept an alien mate, in reality the Khavani lock women in rooms to be assaulted (spanked) to the point of bruising by candidates demonstrating their ability to dominate their property. Cameras violate privacy and film intimate moments. Fights to the death are arranged for ratings. In the end, the judges (and not the women) decide which mate gets selected. This was not an alien society I could support.

A better series involving mate games is The Clecanians by Victoria Aveline.
For shorter, but lighter, reality romance, try Tasha Black’s Stargazer Alien Reality Show series.
Or, for campy, romance with honorable aliens, go with Ruby Dixon’s Ice Planet Barbarians.
