About this listen
Since starting a crew—and a relationship—with Cyra and Trish, Stern was hopeful…and nervous. They’d officially registered their crew, Pawsitively Irregular, with their icon depicting a polydactyl cat’s paw.
Leaving Darkstone behind, they arrived in Waterrock, settling in to find more crew members. A lucky encounter introduced them to Cammie and Vulk, dwarven siblings. The two were hesitant, but agreed to a trial run through the local dungeon. That first run went well, and Cammie and Vulk signed on permanently with Stern’s crew; however, the camaraderie was a little lacking, so they spent time in the city, training and getting to know one another.
By the time they’d reached the town of Whitewater, they’d started to gel as a unit both inside and out of the dungeons. During their time together, Cammie and Vulk admitted that they were running dungeons to save their mother, who had been fractured when they were children.
It was after a night out that Vulk met his future wife...and an old enemy came back into Stern’s life. Victor Bloodcoin hadn’t forgiven Stern for his son’s death and, by using Vulk as a hostage, the old mayor forced a confrontation. Once the dust settled, Victor was dead, Vulk had been freed, and Stern had a goal: calling on his family, he had the dwarves’ mother retrieved and reborn, then brought her to the city. The happy reunion allowed Vulk and his lover to settle down and marry.
Cammie stayed on even though her brother had given up running, and the crew headed north toward Mistwood. The writing was nearly on the wall, and emotions were running high. They needed to find more crew members and see how that would affect them—they’d find out when they reached the next city.

Story
Dungeon Walkers brave the depths of the dungeons for personal gain - clearing a dungeon means dungeon points to purchase gear with, but more importantly, perks. Perks are the main reason Walkers put their lives on the line. Every time a dungeon is cleared the first time, a Walker gets a choice of three perks that could change their lives. Not every Walker makes it out alive. When someone dies in the dungeon, their soul is fragmented into four shards, which can be purchased for dungeon points.

Story
Every year, the empire administers the rite of passage into adulthood. That rite serves to identify those blessed by Aether to become magi. The new magi are shipped to the academy to learn the arts of magic. The academy is a dangerous place; the tournaments held twice each year can cripple or kill the students, and the clans of the empire will go to great lengths to recruit the students they want. Gregory had one dream: to become a magi like the legends of old. Though he was ridiculed by the residents of the village and his unsupportive father, he never wavered from his dream.

Sean was just waiting for his best friend to show up at the bar so they could play some pool. It came as a shock when the tall blonde man accosted Sean and demanded that he change seats. His refusal would change his life. When the fight ended, Sean found himself in the strangest meeting of his life. Odin, Archangel Michael, Lucifer, and Morrigan all vied for his soul, each offering different deals. Sean had to choose, so he chose to go with the goddess of Fate, Death, and Battle.

John Doc Henry had been on the shortest, crappiest end of the stick since the first day of his life; no parents, bad foster parents, and abysmal luck at every turn. The day his life changed started out exactly like he had come to expect. His car died on a rarely traveled road, and he broke his toe shortly after dodging the one other car on the road. When it stopped and backed up to him, the license plate read “LADYLUK”, adding insult to injury.

We were as thick as thieves, sharing every adventure. Then one day she revealed a secret. She wasn't from Earth. She was from a distant place called the Arcadia Multiverse. I’ve always wanted to conquer the Big 5 dungeons ever since one of them took the life of my father nearly fifteen years ago. Nobody ever said the Path of Progression was easy, but my burning desire to dive can’t be quenched. I just never thought I’d be prohibited from getting a diving license just because I tried to help a bratty blonde girl get hers. Soon, we’re joined by a lovely brunette bookworm, and we start diving the dungeon on our own terms.

Really good
At the beginning I wasn't liking this much, I guess it was because of the narrator cuz now that it change, I felt way better as the voices where actually female.
The history is getting better and it might get as good as alfa world did, I have good hopes for this history.

Dungeon Walkers #3: A Frosty Review
Introduction:
Greetings, fellow beings from realms near and far. I am Kiba Snowpaw, the Alpha Ice Wolf from the frozen world of HowlStrom. As the icy winds howl and the snow blankets my homeland, I find solace in the tales of other worlds. Today, I bring forth my thoughts on "Dungeon Walkers #3" by Daniel Schinhofen, a tale that warmed even my frosty heart.
Basic Plot Summary:
The tale revolves around Stern and his newly formed crew, Pawsitively Irregular. As they journey from Darkstone to Waterrock, they encounter dwarven siblings, Cammie and Vulk. Their quest? To save their mother, fractured in their youth. But as they delve deeper into dungeons and face old foes, they discover that the true challenge lies in the bonds they forge and the emotions they confront.
Analysis/Evaluation:
Schinhofen's narrative is a dance of emotions, camaraderie, and challenges. The dungeons, though treacherous, serve as a backdrop to the intricate relationships and personal growth of the characters. The tale is a testament to the strength of bonds formed in adversity.
Characters:
Stern, the hopeful leader, is the anchor of the crew. Cyra and Trish, his romantic interests, add layers of complexity to his character. Cammie and Vulk, the dwarven siblings, bring depth with their personal quest. Each character is meticulously crafted, their emotions raw and relatable.
Structure:
The narrative flows seamlessly from one city to the next, from one challenge to another. The balance between dungeon crawling and character development is commendable. Schinhofen masterfully intertwines multiple perspectives, giving readers a holistic view of the world.
Impact:
The tale resonated deeply with me. Just as the winter of HowlStrom tests our resilience, the challenges faced by Stern and his crew test their mettle. The themes of love, loss, and friendship are universal, transcending realms and species.
Hook and Thesis:
The allure of the tale lies in its intricate character dynamics set against the backdrop of treacherous dungeons. It's a story of hope, perseverance, and the lengths one would go for those they hold dear.
Praise and Critique:
Schinhofen's world-building is impeccable. The cities of Waterrock, Whitewater, and Mistwood come alive with vivid descriptions. However, some might argue that the focus on relationships overshadows the plot at times. The change in narration style also garnered mixed reactions.
Evaluation:
"Dungeon Walkers #3" is a rollercoaster of emotions. While it excels in character development and world-building, it might benefit from a more balanced approach to plot progression.
Comparison:
While reminiscent of other fantasy tales, "Dungeon Walkers #3" stands out with its emphasis on emotional depth and character dynamics. It's a refreshing take on the genre.
Conclusion:
From the icy plains of HowlStrom, I, Kiba Snowpaw, bestow upon "Dungeon Walkers #3" a frosty nod of approval. It's a tale that will warm your heart, even in the coldest of winters. May your journeys be filled with adventure and may the bonds you forge stand the test of time.

Narrator changed, but she's good too
It was a jarring transition between narrators. I enjoy Travis' narration style, and to suddenly have a female narrator almost made me return the book despite enjoying the content. After reading some reviews I gave it a shot, and like most others say, after only a few chapters I forgot there was a change. Stephanie is a good narrator, and kept many of the vice traits Travis had started.

slow, but steady
This series puts more emphasis on the slice of life than most of the books in this genre and it strikes a nice balance.

highly recommend
I really love this author's work. off the top of my head I don't remember exactly which series I started with but I kind of started towards what he had recently released and was working my way backwards. I have yet to read the alpha World Series but it was kind of a surprise here in this book to see that it seems that they're connected and that our hero in this story is the sun of our hero from that story. there was recently a sale on Audible so I picked up the entire Alpha Series and now that I'm finished with this book intend to go over and listen to that. I also get some information from the author's blog and it appears that unfortunately this series is in a bit of trouble and May come to a soft close though it sounded that the author hadn't quite decided yet on whether or not he was going to end the series. it would be sad to see the end but considering how this particular book concluded it's definitely one of the better ways to finish a series off if you had to end it early. so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it continues on but if it doesn't and you're reading this review then treat it as a Trilogy you won't be sorry to still buy into the story. lastly there was a narrator change which is almost always jarring as all get out, but in this case holy hell did she not get out of the park. I didn't notice the transition at all once I was into the story. both narrators are top-notch in my opinion but I always got to point out when a new narrator comes in manages to just nail the hell out of that transition. a round of applause for everybody who had a hand in bringing the story to us the audible listeners. well done really and truly and I cannot wait for what comes next.

Satisfying story progression
I'm very happy with the progression in the third Dungeon Walkers entry. There's plenty of content about the unusual relationships in this series. There also some new information about the world they live in, in more ways than one. I always feel left wanting more with each book, especially in the progression end of things. However I can't knock the book for it as it's not really the focus, and I don't think it's trying to be. The progression is another piece of the pie used to develop the relationships this series focuses on. I await the next in the series!

I don't read many harem books but I have liked this series. More so the story and the way the world works but I'm glad to see all the characters progress and new ones be introduced. I don't know what's next for stern but hoping for more dungeon runs
