About this listen

Shadowy elements within the State Department secretly cause tensions to flare between Iran and the former Soviet republic of Azerbaijan. They hope to start a shooting war to increase their own power and profit. At the same time, the conspirators decide to up the ante - by deposing the president of the United States.

In a treacherous scheme, they convince the president that he is mentally unstable, and a silent coup d'etat is within their reach. On alert, Paul Hood and the Op-Center team race the clock to prevent war, save the president - and expose the traitors. Clancy's imagination is at its fast-paced best in this gripping tale of statesmanship gone terribly wrong.

What made the experience of listening to Divide and Conquer the most enjoyable?

Being able to follow the audio with the print version of the book just makes the reading experience more enjoyable.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The twists and turns the book takes and discovering who all the plotters in the whitehouse were was edge of the seat stuff.

Which character – as performed by Michael Kramer – was your favorite?

Paul Hood is my favourite character as he unravels the plot and doesn't let anyone stand in the way of letting the president know the truth of what is going on with his closest advisors.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened in one sitting on my kindle fire. I always speed the audiobook up to get through it faster.

Treason at the highest level!

It kept me listening intently. Every event was interrelated and suspenseful , especially since they were all time dependent.

The suspense and international intrigue. It was like watching and listening to dominoes falling.

NV prologue almost tells the next story which couldn't be worse than this one and had to be better I'm actually listen to it and yes Reagan did get better the narrator Kramer he's incredible. is internations and inflections that you know who is speaking. If Robin realize this he wouldn't have gone on with the he said she said they did they didn't and so on

Robin that is really some to new levels of low.
