About this listen

After a brief vacation, graphic designer Remi Painter starts working for the Hunger House, a homeless shelter in downtown York, Pennsylvania, refining their website under a tight deadline for chump change and feeding the community in his off time.

But when he finds remnants of human remains in a dumpster behind the nonprofit headquarters after serving, Remi's random observation is called into question. To prove his innocence, Remi begins to snoop around, discovers problems within the Hunger House, and sets into motion a series of seemingly unrelated events in the days that follow.

Can Remi track down the killer and help restore order and justice or will evil prevail?

Design for Justice

Stereotypical police story.I was amazed at how juvenile the premise was.Narration was good.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I’ve found another author to follow

I just finished Design for Justice. I will definitely start following this author. I listened to the audio version. I really enjoyed the narration. Mr. Berry did a good job of keeping the characters separate through his voice. I especially am looking forward to getting to
Know the lead character in future novels.

Hummm

Design for Justice
: Joshua Holmes

A homeless shelter, several mysterious envelopes, a dead body in a dumpster all provide clues for the web page designer that's accused of murder. This is a short quick listen. I listened to it twice to try and catch hints. It's not the usual cozy, but not bad.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Michael Berry.

Needs an Editor

I received this audiobook free in exchange for an honest review. So hear goes:

This is a first person narrative of a suspenseful mystery. First person is DIFFICULT to write because commentary often makes the story boring. I like this character, I like the plot. However, minutiae creates dead spots that don't move the plot along. Better in the second half, I enjoyed that.

Narrator was average. Did a good job of character separation. Clear speech. You could tell the narrator became more interested in the story about half way through.

Overall, I enjoyed the character enough that I will likely get the next book.
