About this listen

The last thing she remembers is seeing her friends die... Now it's her turn.

Very interesting characters and fun set up...

I've read two of the Shadowbane novels by de Bie (will get to the third one eventually) and Ghostwalker and now this story. I generally like his stories, but I have mixed feelings. Love his characters. They are very Forgotten Realms and are generally fun builds. This is true here. The main character, Fox at Twilight, is very fun. You can tell de Bie put a lot of thought into her back story. But this is also a problem as she makes very strange decision off of this back story and, since we don't know it (and it is only alluded to), we are just left confused at times. Plus I wish we had gotten to know some of the characters more. Gargan was fine as the silent presence, but, for example, de Bie just seemed to be developing Teslin's character (the character on the cover) when she suddenly seems to have a personality shift and then we get very little interaction with her.

Performance for Audible takes some getting used to, but it serves its purpose.

Story is good, but the narrator is not.

Not a bad story, but the narrator mispronounces regular words, has awkward pauses, and a high-pitched voice that makes the characters sound like 10yr olds...

nope

not for me. I was hoping since I love this genre but nope. I will avoid Dara Rosenberg in the future.
