About this listen

The New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of the explosively sexy Inside Out and the Secret Life of Amy Bensen series will seduce you with this sultry tale of possession and ecstasy, wild fantasies and dangerous secrets - first in the racy and suspenseful Careless Whispers series.

Ella awakes alone in Italy, no longer sure of who she is. One thing is certain: a gorgeous man has claimed her as his own. He's tall, dark, and sexy, the kind of rich, powerful man who makes a girl long to be possessed. And possess her he does, whispering wicked promises in her ear, indulging her deepest desires, stealing her trust - and her cautious heart. Soon, though, she discovers that nothing is as it seems. The truth will shatter her world, but it will also set her free...if it doesn't destroy her first.

Denial is Book One in a standalone series that spins off from the INSIDE OUT series (soon to be a TV show). New listeners can enjoy this without listening to INSIDE OUT but those who love INSIDE OUT will FINALLY find out what happened to Ella!

Cliffhanger

I love you and your writing Lisa, but your cliffhangers in all your stories are killing me. Love how this ties into your other series.

Sweetheart

Very excited about the book...didn't like the cliff. My biggest complaint is Kaden constantly say sweetheart it got very annoying by the end of the book.

Are you kidding me!

What did you love best about Denial?

I thought the story line was great. Enjoyed the suspense. But, I'm in total shock at how the Author didn't finish it? What was she thinking!

If you’ve listened to books by Lisa Renee Jones before, how does this one compare?

First book I've read.

What does Elizabeth Louise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I found as a narrator she did an exceptional job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yah. The end! I just couldn't believe it just ended abruptly. Leaving me totally hanging. I mean seriously!!! At least finish the story with a slight inference to another continuing saga.

Any additional comments?

I will give her one more chance with one of her books but, if it's anything like this one it's not worth it to me to continue on with any others if she's always going to leave you hanging? Their is nothing wrong with continuing on with another saga but, not a total incompletion of the whole story. Their are too many other authors out their who can give it all. She's a good author but, needs to do it right!

Extremely heart pounding

This book but along with the audio needs to be number one on all the charts from her stopping suspense mystery and romance to leaving you wondering who what were when why and what the hell is going to happen next this book has it all this author is extremely talented and it shows in every book she writes but now that there in audio the voice behind it just adds to the magnificence of this book I loved it truly and to be able to listen everywhere it just was truly great

Disappointing ending

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Most series leave you wanting more but don't end just leaving you hanging. This one just cuts you off, like the end of a section, not the end of a book. There needs to be a completion of each book, as in the Nora Roberts series that make me want to immediately get the next book in a series, but there's a distinct closure to each book in a series.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lisa Renee Jones? Why or why not?

Probably not. I loved the story and the characters, but I don't trust her not to leave the book hanging as in this one. Talk about Denial, we were all denied an ending.

What aspect of Elizabeth Louise’s performance would you have changed?

The performance was well done, with clearly defined characters. I enjoyed it.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Only if the whole story were told.

Any additional comments?

Great story and characters, but the abrupt ending ruined it for me.

A Must have audiobook!

Finally, a series that is just as phenomenal as the Inside Out Series! I've been looking for a series that would blow my mind! Well, it looks like I found it in “Denial” She brought us back to the underworld and enchantment. All at the same time! How does she do that? God knows that Lisa Renee Jones seriously fucked with your brain!! Plus that cliffhanger!! WTF?????

A quite excellent series

Where does Denial rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best I have listened to. Lisa Renee Jones does an excellent job of capturing your attention right at the beginning with an intrigue that builds throughout the series. Great story line, steamy love interests. Overall excellent. I have bought the whole series

What did you like best about this story?

Elizabeth Louise is an excellent narrator. Actually I select audiobooks often based upon the narrator's voice and Louise is very good; one of the better I have heard.

Good Story

I have been following all the books that have led to this series. I like Elizabeth Louise as Ella, but her voice is not masculine enough for a man who has a dangerous job as a hunter; he sounds too young and not rough enough. But the story is really good.
