This was a great action packed suspense story. The hero was strong, hot and protective and the heroine was tough, strong-willed with lots up spark. These who worked great for me. I loved that he didn't try to change her or control anything but her safety! I enjoyed the suspense and wondering who was after her. I'll definitely listen to book 2!

The narration was good, I always enjoy Eric Michael Summerer and this book was no different!

What took me so long to listen to Lisa Renee Jones? I am wondering this myself! This is the first book of the series, and if you like strong, hot, alpha men and strong-willed, spunky heroines, you will love this book. Royce is the first brother of the Walkers and one that helps to run Walker Security. Lauren is the daughter of a senator and a DA litigating a high profile, death penalty case. Who better than to threaten than Lauren? And who better to protect her than Royce? The attraction is immediate, but while they are falling in love, there are secrets being kept, lives being threatened and too many suspects to track. This is a fast paced, thrilling romantic suspense and you will love it!

Eric Michael Summerer is an amazing narrator, and is perfect for this series. He can portray the alpha male and switch to the spunky female without missing a beat. Love his narrations and can't wait to download book 2!

What a great start for this suspenseful series!

Typical story line, relationship seemed rushed and almost unnatural. Author had strange choice of words and was occasionally very redundant or forgot what was already used and defined common phrases, for instance: monkey suit, meaning a tuxedo.

Hot, steamy, intriguing romantic suspense.

Royce Walker has the perfect job when it counts. He is allowed to use his job as the reason for protecting his long time obsession, Lauren Reynolds. She is the Assistant DA and has a boat load of trouble heading her way. But Royce maybe the one thing that no one expected to have her back (and front). The fireworks just bloom from there. Take the ride and enjoy as the climax rides its high and all the way to completion.

Jones has brought me another hot romance to get the blood flowing.

Eric Michael put that extra need in the way he voiced the story. A connection to the characters was forged with the words but bonded with his rich timber and smooth diction.

the narrator was wonderful, definitely brought the emotion and feels together while reading the book. Suspenseful with the romance that entices you to the end.

When danger threatens Lauren, Royce isn't willing to stand by and watch her get hurt. When the heat between them amps up Royce needs to save Lauren from danger despite how strong willed she is.

I have loved Lisa's books but this one is told from a 3rd person perspective and it's really weird when all the others were told by the 2 characters. Other than that I enjoyed this book.

I am not a fan of steamy sex scenes. However, the characters and the mystery in this book are enjoyable. The performance is good.

There is nothing I despise more than a weak heroine.

For a character that is supposed to be intelligent enough to have become an ADA, she couldn’t have been more ignorant or incompetent if she tried. I don’t believe I’ve ever uttered the phrases “shut the f@#! up” and “you dumb b#t@h!” more times than while listening to this audio book. This character literally did everything possible to endanger her how life. So much so, that I felt no sympathy for her when she was at risk.
