Publisher's summary

Rick's Diner is owned and run by four long-time friends, Rick, Rachel, Logan and Macy. It's a dream life for them, until a mystery comes along. That's when Rachel's sleuthing senses kick in, and when that happens, all heck breaks loose.

Laurel Falls is a sleepy little town in rural North Carolina. New folks have come to town, including Diane, the diner's newest waitress. Grave robbers have moved in and to make matters worse, a dead body has turned up.

Rachel is in the thick of it and she'll solve these mysteries if it kills her. Except that she can't track down the mysterious Mike and now she's being followed. Can she get to the bottom of the graveyard doings? Or find Mike? Or solve the murder? Maybe all these things are linked. Rachel isn't sure about any of it, but she does know that she's pushed Rick too far.

Good narration

Quiet town with a diner, and with four friends running. When murder happens, Rachel found her skills were needed. Good beginning to this series, as we find out more about these four friends. Enjoyed and the narration was good. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

great book

This was great book. I loved the story line and the characters were great. Rachel had me on the edge of my seat when she was running around in the cemetery. I just knew she was going to get caught. I would definitely liked to do more in this series.
I requested this book and received this book free in exchange for an honest review. The narrator did a fantastic job.

good start to the series

love the characters. Rachel's name spells trouble with a big dash of humor. Rick his hands full with her.

2 and a half stars

Deep Fried Homicide might be a better book if Rachel wasn't in it. Rachel's character is annoying and I don't know why Rick stays with her. Wendy Tremont King did a great job as narrator, but she couldn't save this book.
