Publisher's summary

After the drama in Biggleswade, our crime-busting duo head to York for the annual Yorkshire pudding competition and a well-earned rest....

Well, fat chance of that, because they interrupt a violent robbery before they can even get to the venue.

When Albert realizes he’s stumbled across something much bigger than a random mugging, he decides, for once, to leave the crime-solving to the locals. Fate, however, laughs at his plans, thrusting him and faithful canine companion, Rex Harrison, into the thick of things just as the first body is found.

Is the coveted prize for the best Yorkshire pudding driving the competitors to the most extreme lengths? Will the team attempting to break the world record for the biggest Yorkshire pudding succeed, or is someone trying to scupper their chances? One thing is for sure - one body always leads to another.

There’s mystery afoot, and Rex has his nose to the ground. He’ll solve the crime to be sure, but will he be able to lead the humans to the criminals in time?

Don’t miss out! Grab your copy now and join the adventure as Rex and Albert take on their craziest mystery yet!

Baking. It can get a guy killed.

Laugh-out-loud funny and relaxing

This book was fun to listen to and I totally enjoyed it. The book is one of those that is both convoluted enough to keep the reader/listeners attention, but also easy reading for those times when you just want something where you can totally relax, not to mention laugh-out-loud at the pictures it draws in your mind. Well worth reading.

Death of a Yorkshire Pudding Audiobook By Steve H

Albert is once again on the move this time to learn how to make a yorkshire pudding. He is waiting for his eldest son to join him and while on the way to the train station stumbles across a mugging. He sics Rex on the mugger and goes to help the person who was being mugged then sees the would be thief throw a woman to the ground. So he goes to help her and discovers she has a baby on her chest within a snuggie. From this point on Albert is entwined in a mystery that his son seems to try to avoid. Along the way he starts to think that his dog, Rex, has some special abilities and maybe he should be paying more attention to Rex.
Charles Robert Fox is a remarkable narrator who entraps you into the story and brings Albert, Rex and other characters to life.
Fantastic audio and story!

No one outsmarts Max

Death of Yorkshire Pudding is Book 5 in the series. Steve Higgs writes wonderfully funny and exciting cozy mysteries. Charles Robert Fox is outstanding in his narration. Albert and Max are in Yorkshire for the festival. Bakers are going to make the worlds largest pudding. Of course there is a murder and two mugging with Albert and Max in the middle. I love this series. Steve Higgs is one of my favorite authors.

very entertaining

I like the story of the older man still having a great mind even if his body is slowing down. Him and the dog makes good reading.
