About this listen
Jane, nursing her own wounds from Charles Bingley’s abandonment, discovers an unexpected ally in Mr Darcy. Their growing friendship surprises them both. As they navigate the complexities of societal expectations, family duty, and their own guarded hearts, they find that love may arise where least anticipated.
In Dear Sir, misunderstandings and unspoken desires give way to a story of second chances, redemption, and the unexpected paths that love may take. Set against the elegant backdrop of Regency England, this poignant reimagining of Austen’s world will capture your heart and challenge your perceptions of love, loyalty, and fate.
Will Elizabeth find her own happily ever after?
This is a Jane and Darcy story; Elizabeth finds her own HEA.
First published in 2022, the novel has been re-edited and majorly extended (Dec 2024), including several outtakes and illustrations on the story website, which is linked on the second page.

So much in life depends on chance and sheer luck. How much do we often owe to being in the right place at the right time? In Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth Bennet plans to visit the Lake District with her uncle and aunt, yet ends up at Pemberley instead, just as, by coincidence, Mr Darcy also arrives home. They meet, understand one another better and all eventually ends well. But what if they did not have such luck? 🙂
I really enjoyed this variation of Pride and Prejudice. I would have hoped this book would have a clear cut finish, not a "see what's next" finish.
The end feels just like the end of a chapter in the middle of the book, and not the end of a book. I know this is Volume 1 and the story continues on Volume 2, but there's no Volume 2 yet.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
