About this listen

It all started with an ad . . .

"House sitter needed for the summer, room and board provided." Guess I missed the part about the cocky basketball player sleeping down the hall.

Finn Richards is hot, cruel, broken beyond repair. Oh, and did I mention hell-bent on making me quit?

Whatever. It's not like his charms work on me. I'm immune to his deep hazel eyes, and I'm not even a little bit curious about what happened that night.

It's just two months. I can definitely go two months without ripping his head off.

Only problem is, I'm not sure the same goes for his clothes . . .

Contains mature themes.

Such an anxiety ridden story, but here for it!

I love Dia & Finn! I love their story and the author did an amazing job at creating angsty love story! You will love this book but will immediately need to read the next one!

Not as good as Dear Love, I hate you

I really enjoyed the first book Dear Love, I hate you. My biggest issue with Dear Heart, I hate you was the narration. The narration was very disappointing, especially compared to the first book.

HEAR ME OUT…

WHAT THE FIRST REVIEW SAID!

I think if I would have read the book vs the audio It would been 7.5/10 maybe 8.5/10. The storyline was good. The characters were authentic and well developed. I struggled to fully “buy” into Finn, though. He is definitely complicated a “love to hate” and “want to love” character.
My only real criticism towards Finn’s character is it’s a pretty far reach regarding his sexuality. I say that to say he seems more like a well seasoned man rather than a teenage boy and I felt it was kinda cheesy. I would have liked to had a little more glimpse of ‘immature boy’ or ‘teenager’ than very sexually experienced and very mature older man. Is it possible that the audio made Finn hard to sell? YUPPP!!!
The narration was definitely off putting. Finn sounds like a older goof ball (Picture Joey on Full house) and it seems really forced.
The narrator for Dia was a little better. It took me a while to adjust to her. ‘Dia’ (the narrator) sounded almost too fragile and could have gave Dia a stronger voice at times. Reading is 9/10 always better than listening to an audio to be fair. I will go onto the next book however I hope to read it vs audio.
