About this listen

It started with an accidental dirty voicemail. It ended with my boss’s baby in my belly.

One butt dial changed my life forever.
Ruslan Oryolov went from boss to baby daddy in the blink of an eye.
But other stuff changed along the way, too.
I learned who Ruslan is—who he really is.
I learned that the children I’ve come to love as my own can’t stay in this city anymore.
I’ve learned that none of us can.

So we’re running.
But of course, Ruslan won’t let us go that easily.
And when he learns about what I’m taking from him—the baby in my belly—he makes me a promise.
A very, very cruel promise.
No matter where you go...no matter how far or how fast you flee...I will always find you.

Cruel Promise is Book Two of the Oryolov Bratva duet. Ruslan and Emma’s story begins in Book One, Cruel Paradise.

The love and protection of these wonderful children

I loved the narration. Both books Cruel Promise and Cruel Paradise were amazing books. I loved how their affair started and how it evolved. I love that these two individuals put the children first. I loved the children’s personalities. Totally charming and worthy of a read.

The change in emotion

There needs to be more books maybe a story that starts off 15-20 years later when Leo is older. Him and Josh make a killer duo

Extremely good…

This was a great follow up to Book 1. Though not quite as good, it was still fantastic.

Best book I have listened to in a loonnngggg time !

See above. Best book in years!! None of the stupid parts where the listeners goes “come on… any person would jump on that opportunity… or quit being so righteous “. None of that and it’s amazing and both part 1 and 2 amazing!!!

Love overtakes the Cold Heart💙

I had to dive right into book 2. The only thing that could have been better, was the final chapters. it was a little too brief. Still was a great listen though. ✨💖🌹

Where was the romance?

I liked the way the story began with the “voicemail gone wrong,” and the hilarity that ensued afterwards. The second book was spent with Emma being consumed by the kids, their father Ben, her parents, and Ruslan’s lack of faith in her. She spent so much time pining away for a man, and showing no real spine. Ruslan had been built up as a powerful CEO, and head of the Bratva. His behavior really made no sense towards the end and was extremely disappointing. Overall, the book was ok, but could have been so much better.
