About this listen

Vivi

For the first time in my life, I'm with the family I choose. Living with my cousin, who happens to be a newlywed, is the best thing ever. There is one pesky downside, and his name is Lucas Clark. He's a spoiled rich boy who was put on this Earth to torture me. He thinks he can intimidate me, keep me in my place, but I have news for him. No way is he man enough.

And it's annoying. Like, why do his eyes follow me everywhere? Why do I lose all self-control, seeking him out whenever we share the same space? I should be running in the opposite direction, right?

His words are harsh, hostile. Until one night, the hostility is replaced by a kiss that almost set us on fire.

Luke

She's a tiny ball of energy. Every bitter and combative word out of her mouth is aimed at me. She's nothing more than a man-hating shrew wrapped up in a beautiful package. Those dark eyes of hers? I see them everywhere. Her red lips? They beg to be kissed. And one night, I do. I finally get a taste, but it's not enough. I want more.

She says she hates me. I'm used to getting what I want, and what I want is to prove to Vivi that hate is the last thing on her mind when it comes to me.

Contains mature themes.

Remarkable, steamy and oh so good! Didn’t want it to end!

Loved! Loved! loved! Absolutely LOVED This book!!!

What’s NOT to love? I thought I loved Jake and Dede’s story but I was wrong! My only objection is o wanted more... I wanted to hear about Luke and Vivi’s wedding, travel to their honeymoon and them 10 years later navigating parenthood and family.

This book was addictive, amazing and steamy... I wanted to listen all the time... PERFECT book I’ve read in a long long time.... AMS. Sola does have a way with words and I’m going to find more books by her...

Strength and Love

The FMC is string enough to know when to allow love in. MMC was a man that knew what he wanted. this story was so sweet.

Loved the series...narratiors, not so much.

This series was my first introduction to E. sola and Troy Duran...l loved them both. l like Troy Duran's voice and his embodiment of the Clark men. l am not now a fan of Mari, however...l don't like her monotone way of speaking...and her voice is far too mature to voice characters who are in their late teens and early to care twenties..she always does better with the male voices. for this story in particular l felt that two new narratiors should have been used for Luke and Vivienne...someone who could be believable as young people. As for the story it's self...l was pleasantly surprised by how much l liked it. l really like the way E. Sola tells the story...her stories are so well written that l could overlook some of the issues l found. One of the main issues that l could not overlook was the verbiage. The dialogue for the African American characters was off...black people don't talk the way the characters in the story did. We just don't...and that is something that l think E. Sola should work on changing..because the dialogue was off in the entire series because of this. Even if African American narratiors had been used...they could only speak the words that were written. The storyline was good and very well written so l will give this look 4 stars overall and storyline...however, l am giving the performance 2 stars because the performance was lacking big time. lam looking forward to listening to or reading more of E. Sola work. please just be mindful of the wording even it comes to representing African American people. l do recommend this book.👌🏾

Loved this Story!

I bought this Audible book out of sequence as it is the last book on this series. I forgot why. Maybe the Daily Deal??? It was very good. It was full of angst. I especially liked Troy Duran narrating the male voice! Good book all around! Five Stars on this Beauty!!!

Another Winner By Evelyn Sola!

I’ve read two of Evelyn Sola’s series, and both have been wonderful. This is a great trilogy that does a great job overlapping the storylines.

And Mari and Troy do phenomenal jobs once again.

Another great book

I was so excited to hear the story of Luke and Vivian and it did not disappoint! I loved it so much I was able to get over and sometimes forget how Mari who definitely sounds too mature to be early 20’s was narrating.
