Publisher's summary

After Isstvan, after Deliverance, the Raven Guard still endure. Their primarch Corvus Corax has rallied countless warriors to his banner, striking back at the forces of the Warmaster on every front - from the degenerate hereteks of the Mechanicum to the cruel legionaries of the Sons of Horus, none shall escape his wrath. But although Corax has managed to stall the physical corruption of his own Space Marines, what of their spirit? And what sinister end must await those who dwell forever in the darkness?

This anthology contains all of Gav Thorpe's tales of the Raven Guard in the Horus Heresy - the novellas Soulforge and Ravenlord, and short stories The Shadowmasters, The Value of Fear and Raptor. Also included is the brand-new novella Weregeld, taking Corax's legend to its grim conclusion.

Lots of fanfare for the Raven Guard

Just like how "The Path of Heaven" (Book 36) was an awesome deep dive into the current state of the White Legion, this is all about the Raven Guard. If you're a fan of them, or what their goals are within the remaining Horus Heresy then this is your book.

Great Collection on the Ravenlord

I really enjoyed this look into the secret world of the Raven Guard Space Marines. All in all, I thought that this was a very well done listen.

great book for an under rated primarch

I wish the voice acting was more consistent, because the middle was absolutely perfect. But it wavered a bit in places.

Must Have for Raven Guard fans!

I wish this compilation had Raven's Flight in it, but its not bad without.

Detailing Corax's exploits post Deliverance Lost and leading up to the events of the Siege of Terra, its a fitting anthology to bring closure to the Raven Guard.

I'm not crazy about the narration compared to other Black Library talent but its well-produced.

Gothic Heroism

Phenomenal continuation of the epic struggle to remain relevant after the Drop Site Massacre. The Raven Lord’s story is beautifully told by Gav Thorpe with an adoration to the Raven Guard.

Relies heavily on previous works

If you have not read the previous novel and short stories featuring the Raven Guard Legion, most of this otherwise decent collection will make little to no sense. Get the other books first.
