A Story of Courage

A story of courage. When Constance loses her job with the mill due to it burning down, she becomes a little desperate. She is so timid but steps out and answers and add for a mail order bride in Florida. She takes a voyage on the sea to get there and it changes her life.
A sweet story I really enjoy. Narration seemed a little rushed an stilted at times but overall I enjoyed.

A lovely romance!

What a beautiful story! It was well written and had a good feel with love, longing and family that was written truthfully. It's so true we long for greener grass and find happiness when we least expect it. I enjoyed both the story and narrator.

Didn't care for this at all

I didn't like this story or the narration at all. There were a few good parts in the story but it was all over the place. I didn't care for the characters first they are one way and than another. As much as Constance liked the sea I didn't understand why the author didn't go that way with the story bring the two together over what they each enjoy. I didn't understand Drake at all. A lot of first born are not called Jr so I don't know what that big deal was and I don't understand why he made such a big issue over it. I just didn't find this story believable or even likable.

I narrator I didn't care for, I didn't like most of her character voices and it isn't a race. There was no pausing it was like it was all one big sentences. There was background noise, repeating of words but there was no volume change. Her emotions were off.

It took me a lot to finish listening to this story. Had I read it I might have like the story better but it isn't one I want to listen to again and the author isn't one I want to read again.
