Publisher's summary

Terry Goodkind's bestselling, epic fantasy series Sword of Truth continues with Confessor.

Descending into darkness, about to be overwhelmed by evil, those people still free are powerless to stop the coming dawn of a savage new world, while Richard faces the guilt of knowing that he must let it happen. Alone, he must bear the weight of a sin he dare not confess to the one person he loves…and has lost.

Join Richard and Kahlan in the concluding novel of one of the most remarkable and memorable journeys ever written. It started with one rule, and will end with the rule of all rules, the rule unwritten, the rule unspoken since the dawn of history.

When next the sun rises, the world will be forever changed.

Epic edge: listen to more in the Chainfire Trilogy and the Sword of Truth series.

I never read the books but saw the TV shows

and was hooked on the story line. I purchased book 2 of this trilogy at a gas stop on a trip from AZ and so thoughly enjoyed it that I purchased book 3. I am always amazed by the imagination of the writers for this type of genre and I bless them for writing and sharing their stories. I thoughly enjoy the voice of Sam T, as the narrator makes or breaks the presentation of the book.

Fantastic Story and Great Narrator

What made the experience of listening to Confessor the most enjoyable?

Sam Tsoutsouvas has the best narrating voice that I have ever listened to in a audible book. I find that he adds to the story just be his demeanor and skill. Terry Goodkind is my favorite author and while this book like some of the later series can be a bit on the wordy side I find it enjoyable to get the insight to the characters thoughts.

What about Sam Tsoutsouvas’s performance did you like?

What is not to like? He uses voices well to differentiate the characters but interfere with the story in any way. His voice for Zedd I find to fit what I would hear in my mind.

Any additional comments?

A must listen for both the writer and the narrator.

Had me till the end

At the peek it was a let down, he went on and on in his speech and doesn’t really let you know what happened. What about the old world did they all go over, who’s in charge?what about people in the army that didn’t want to be there, where they forced to move??? Like really this is how we end it???

A fitting end to a fascinating adventure

the only complaint I have is the change in narrator, I'd gotten used to how the old One pronounced people's names. Asides from that it was everything I'd come to expect from such a great author!

Rise up and live it!

Bravo to Mr. Goodkind on his conclusion book to this fantastic series. It's difficult to rank this book to the other 10, but the final chapters are quite satisfying. I feel enriched having experienced this series. Thank you, Mr. Goodkind!

Temple of the long-winded

This series has become one of my favorites. Yes it's repetitive at times, yes there are monologues that could fill a book up themselves, but overall it's a brilliant compilation. Not every book in the series deserves 5 stars, however this one deserves them all.

When I started this series, the problems tended to arise out of nowhere and making everything a world ending matter. After the first half of books Terry does a great job of tying in those problems (like the chimes and boxes) as well as giving a consistent enemy to fight against. It felt like it actually became a fluid story and not just fragmented plots.

This is not a light-hearted book and usually involves long drawn out philosophical ideas and lots of background into whats going on. There is typically a good reason for this in his books, and if you pay attention to the details, it can make them that much better.
I'd say they're very much worth the read, even if you have to be a pro at patience sometimes.

Story great but narrator was bothering me

The story was great and a nice ending to the Trilogy but it was very clear that the narrator was sick or something during the first several chapters. It really destracted from the story and at times left my saying out loud in my car "clear your throat"! There were also some chapters that were louder than others so I had to messing with the volume. Besides that the narrator did a great job.

which world

in spite of the abysmal narration, I enjoyed these books. As I firmly believe in magic, but am living under a tyrant, I wonder in which world I am living.
