About this listen

Reporter Holly Thorne is intrigued by Jim Ironheart, who has saved 12 lives in the past three months. Holly wants to know what kind of power drives him, why terrifying visions of a churning windmill haunt his dreams, and just what he means when he whispers in his sleep that an enemy who will kill everyone is coming."A master storyteller, sometimes humorous, sometimes shocking, but always riveting. His characters sparkle with life. And his fast-paced plots are wonderfully fiendish, taking unexpected twists and turns." A stunning preformance

I've read this book before in old fashioned print version and enjoyed it so much I simply had to buy it when I saw it on audible. My favorite part of this preformance was Michael Hanson. His deep, gravlely voice is an absolute delight and brings a wonderful sense of gravitas to this thriller.

A little less Koontz than I thought

while the story started great from about halfway through it seemed the narrator had lost some of the excitement for the job. It really seemed to firework up and then sputter and come back down in a puddle.

Different Perspective

Story was interesting from the start and just keeps going. Never predictable.

Could have been so much better

The first of the book was awesome, vintage Dean Koontz. It was scary, and kept you on the edge of your seat wondering about the enemy...then it just got wierd. Overall it was a good read, just could have been better.

great story excellently preformed

loved the complex character development. I could see the beginning of what might become Odd Thomas.

Starts great then goes off the rails before great ending

I really liked the first third of the book. Then it goes off track. But the ending saws it.
