About this listen

From best-selling author Kandi Steiner comes a fresh and captivating billionaire romance about a reserved photographer and the powerful CEO who has to have her....

My boyfriend’s billionaire boss always gets what he wants.

Menacingly handsome and unquestionably powerful, Theo Whitman need only snap his fingers to have a flock of supermodels fall at his feet. So when his steel gray eyes first meet mine, I expect him to pass right over me, to not give so much as a second thought to my presence.

Instead, he sees me.

Truly sees me.

And for a girl who prefers to hide behind her camera lens, it’s the most unnerving experience of my life.

Until he asks me to stay on his yacht for the summer.

All I have to do to earn my keep is be Theo’s on-call photographer when he has guests, and I’ll get a free ride through the Mediterranean with my boyfriend. Easy peasy.

Still, my skin prickles in warning when I say yes.

As the humid days fade into balmy nights, I can’t seem to avoid Theo. And when he finds me, it’s like a rabbit running into a wolf.

His intense gaze immobilizes me. The way he speaks strips me bare. Every brush of his skin sears me like a violent flame.

My boyfriend’s billionaire boss always gets what he wants.

And this time, I think he wants me.

Love, love, LOVE!

Aspen is so relatable, and I LOVED Theo. It’s a weird one, I typically don’t find myself for someone to cheat, but I was totally dying for these two to finally be together. (Sorry Joel, but you’re the worst).

This is such a good and refreshing read/listen, and I cannot recommend it enough. The heat. The angst. The locations. It’s ✨everything✨

Also, 10/10 for narration. Absolutely smashed it!

Romance at Sea

This book was very different than I anticipated. Aspen boards Theo's boat with her then boyfriend Josh. I had a really hard time at first because Josh was such a jerk and I couldn't fault Aspen for being drawn to Theo. I wanted to throw Josh overboard most of the time! I loved watching Aspen and Theo tow the line and when they were finally able to pursue something it gave me all the feels. This was a good read, it just took me a while to get into the story.

The narrator did a great job bringing this story to life.

Beautiful Story!!

I just finished listening to this beautifully written, emotional story that I adored. The narration and performance by Hannah Chiclana was fantastic. This story is emotional, full of angst and inspirational. I couldn’t wipe the tears fast enough as I got to the epilogue. This book is an epic love story! A true must read/listen!

A Great Age-Gap with a Swoony Billionaire!

“I’m growing tired of this game, Aspen.”
“What game?”
“The one where you pretend like you don’t want me...And I pretend like you’re not already mine.”
Review: I have been wanting to read this book ever since it came out. I am always drawn to pretty covers. The blurb sounded good, but I was a little weary of possible cheating as I'm not a fan of it. This book turned out just fine and I really enjoyed it! It is single POV, which I generally struggle with, but Kandi does really well with single POV. Aspen is a photographer planning to travel around Europe and take photos for her portfolio while her boyfriend works on a yacht for the next few months. Theo is a Billionaire and is getting ready to set off on his yacht for business meetings along the Mediterranean. Aspen meets Theo on his yacht where she is leaving her boyfriend for the summer. Theo is instantly intrigued by Aspen and offers her the opportunity of lifetime on his yacht. As they work together and continue to get to know each other, they both feel the undeniable pull between them. I loved these two. Theo could truly see Aspen and not the front she put on for others. I love that he cared, wanted to get to know her better and help her. I could relate so much to Aspen, as a photographer and as someone who struggles like she does, it pulled on my heartstrings. So much wisdom, which I am finding in Kandi's books, and truly loving. I feel like I am learning how to improve my life through her words. Kandi does such a beautiful job explaining the scene that you feel like you are there. I shed a few tears and swooned so hard. Theo is an absolute dream and is respectful. I worried he was going to be going after Aspen dead set to steal her away, but that was not the case. I definitely fell for Theo and want to steal him. I listened to the Audiobook by Hannah Chiclana. This was my first by her and after the first chapter I was completely sucked in. I really enjoyed this one.

Hearts and boats and stuff.

Story: 4 ⭐️

I liked it this book. I loved that it was a bit forbidden and that there was so much fun travel. I loved Theo! I had two issues with this book.

1. I don’t like when the prologue spoils a big plot point. I wish I could have gone back in time and not listened to the prologue.

2. This book felt both a bit rushed but also starts slow. I’m not sure what exactly it is but there were parts that felt both slow and rushed 🤣 I don’t know.

Audiobook Performance: I liked the performance but some of the side character voices were annoying lol

I Want a Theo!

To say that I loved this book would be an understatement. I loved everything about this book. I loved the writing and I loved the narration. It’s the first time that I have ever heard Hannah perform. I am used to listening to audiobooks with duel performances. This girl has so much talent that it didn’t matter to me that there wasn’t a male voice in the audiobook. She made everything sound like perfection. The only negative that I would say is that she did pronounce a few words incorrectly. That doesn’t take away the fact that she did such a beautiful job. She boosted what was already a wonderful story.

This is the first novel that I have read/listened to of Kandi’s. I did listen to the Christmas Blanket, which I loved, but that was more like a novella. I didn’t even realize how talented she is until I listened to this story. It drew me in from the prologue. I read a lot of these types of books, and I will say that Theo is now one of my top 10 favorite book boyfriends. (It might also have something to do with the fact that I love Theo James. 🤣) Aspen is also easy to like because she’s so kind and so willing to sit back and let others get the glory. I’m so glad that she gets her happy ending because she so deserves it. I can’t say more about this book without giving away the story so I’ll just say.... Use a credit and listen to this audiobook! You will not be sorry! I don’t usually listen to my audiobooks again, but I will definitely listen to this one more than once.

Good story

I did enjoy this book and the narration is good except, call me nit-picky, but the pronunciation of Nice (France) is Niece. It drove me crazy every time hearing it said wrong, but seriously it wasn't enough to not enjoy the book and narration. Would recommend to give it a listen.
