This book had been on my TBR list for a while, and I hadn’t read it because someone had told me that it was about substance abuse—how wrong they were! A Love Letter to Whiskey is a tumultuous and passionate love story filled with angst, spice, and love. The FMC compares the MMC to whiskey in a wonderful and clever way throughout the book, and that’s the only reason for the title.

This story was in a very small way reminiscent of After by Anna Todd because the characters keep going back and forth throughout a twelve year period, and their story is a roller coaster of emotions throughout that time. I personally loved all that angst.

I’m so glad that I read it after the Anniversary edition was available, because I couldn’t have dealt with the original short ending lacking any details about how it all ended, or any insight into the couple’s future. Even so, I still wanted more, and I didn’t want it to end! I highly recommend reading this, just make sure you read the Anniversary edition, instead of the original!

This love story was all consuming. The characters gave so much joy, and anxiety! They were complex. You constantly root for them. I loved every minute of this book. I didn’t want it to end.

Beautiful story. Thankful for the epilogue because the original ending sucked. It all came together in the end. Definitely going to look into more books from this author.

Even though this book is just so beautiful written and amazing there is cheating and if that is a trigger for you please don't read....

Have heard so many great things about this book and it wasn't a disappointment. It is beautiful written, it will wreck you and make you feel good. Parts of this book made me want to hate the characters but I just couldn't i loved them. They made you scream "what are you doing" to "why" to ugh why cant they figure it out, but isn't that the way life goes timing can and will get in the way. To be left on the cliffhanger i can understand why so many people were mad at that lol. Thankfully i wasn't one of them and read the fifth anniversary edition. Loved to read his point of everything that had happened and to see how one person sees something and yet the other sees it a whole differnt way. So Glad they finally figured it out even through they lost so much time together they deserved their happy ending.

This book is everything I didn’t know I needed. I fell in love with Lauren Sweet and Edward Black who narrated this book perfectly and quickly ordered this book to have in my hands forever.
