Christmas is a time for love.

BELLE BROOKS loves Christmas. High in the Montana mountains, where she lives on her horse ranch with her son and his family, she has the perfect life. That is until it’s time to hang this year’s Christmas lights. Her son, Ryder’s, busy schedule is preventing him from getting them up by December 1st—it’s a Brooks Ranch tradition.

BART STOCKTON, a former bronc rider and rodeo star, has yet to deal with his wife’s sudden death two years ago. Leaving the home they’d shared on her family’s ranch, he’s wandered from job to job, trying to run from his pain.

When Bart happens upon the Brooks Ranch, looking for work with horses, Belle seizes the opportunity to hire him to put up her lights. He looks like he could use the work, and it is Christmas. Willing to take whatever work he can get, Bart agrees, and the one-day job presents an opportunity to stay through the holidays.

A good deed, Christmas spirit, and a mutual attraction soon turns into something more, but will Bart be able to deal with his past so he can have a future?
