Excellent, Thorough Guide to Chair Yoga

I became a Hatha Yoga teacher in 1987, and now am at an age where chair yoga is more approachable for me and my students. This book surpasses my expectations! It gives detailed background on yoga philosophy and includes careful, step by step instructions for each pose while discussing the benefits and contraindications for each one. I enjoy the extensive instruction on meditation and pranayama (yogic breathing practices). Honestly, I felt relaxed as I read this book before I began to follow its program. In short, this book is generous and complete. I’m grateful for it and know my students will be too.

Great

Great audiobook, the exercises in this book are perfect for seniors over 60. You are taught how to have better mobility to move like someone of a younger age, I also liked that you are informed about the benefits of yoga. There is even a section on improving mental health. I highly suggest giving this a listen.

My Chair Yoga Journey

As someone who just hit the big 62, I’ve been on the lookout for ways to ease those age-related aches and improve my balance without having to venture too far from my living room. Perfect for older adults

I bought this book for my dad who has been wanting to be more active recently, but has difficulty getting motivated because his body is either in pain or he doesn’t feel capable of doing complex exercises. This book is full of simple approachable exercises that have already an improvement on my dad’s mobility and overall wellbeing!
