About this listen

In her fantastically fun new series, Ellis' debut novel introduces a Kardashian-style family of money-hungry women who are determined to have it all. Over three generations, the Gibbons women of Chesterton have built their reputation as a family of shameless - but refined - gold diggers. But now one of them is abandoning the tradition.

Unconditional love for my sisters

I loved the narrator. She really knew how to change her voice for each characters. The story line was sort of boring. The whole book was average. I loved when one of the sister changed her life and life style. She was determination not to be a gold digger like her mom and sisters. I was so glad she accomplished it.

Gut wrenching

Shelly captivated her audience with her graphic descriptions of steamy sex scenes and the horrific abuse the character endured.

Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. I wish this author didn't use God's name in vain. You don't have to use " GD " to have a great book. If not for that I would have given it 5 stars. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. The couple was great together and I would like to hear their mother's story. Also I like for the book cover to match the description of the characters and the lady on the cover hair was longer than shoulder length and that was how Lauren hair was described. I wish the narrator had a deeper voice for Cris.

Boring

I tried. I skipped through some parts looking for the “good part”. I never found it. It had potential. The narrators voice annoyed me as well. I’m sorry I just didn’t like it 😑

This book was okay

This book started off very slow & seemed dragged on but it was good. This is one of those books you will have to get into. It'll take a while but once you're into it you'll find it interesting. I love the ending although the story book ending is so cliche. It was nice.
