What skills do you need to succeed today? How can you make better choices? In today's fast world, it's important to have certain skills for success. With so much fake news and information everywhere, critical thinking and logic are crucial. These skills help us think well and make good decisions. They help us understand why things are how they are, figure out what influences them, and come up with ways to make things better. One of the reasons most of us fall short in thinking critically is that our educational system doesn't teach critical thinking.

Although pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. This book offers a completely new paradigm and understanding of where our human experience comes from, allowing us to end our own suffering and create how we want to feel at any moment. Don't Believe Everything You Think is not about rewiring your brain, rewriting your past, or positive thinking. We cannot solve our problems with the same level of consciousness that created them. Tactics are temporary. An expansion of consciousness is permanent.

Trauma is a fact of life. Veterans and their families deal with the painful aftermath of combat; one in five Americans has been molested; one in four grew up with alcoholics; one in three couples have engaged in physical violence. Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, one of the world’s foremost experts on trauma, has spent more than three decades working with survivors. In The Body Keeps the Score, he uses recent scientific advances to show how trauma literally reshapes both body and brain, compromising sufferers’ capacities for pleasure, engagement, self-control, and trust.

Calming and Practical
Calm the Chaos: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Workbook or Adults is calming and practical. The workbook format is helpful to listen to the narrator, pause, and write down the reflections. The focus on stopping the negative looping is practical to move out of "overthinking and chaos" causing stress. The additional guide is a bonus.

This is a practical and effective workbook
The concepts are broken down into easy-to-understand and applied concepts, even for those new to CBT like me. The exercises and journaling prompts are easy to follow and have helped me promote self-awareness and emotional growth. The attached PDF book was a nice bonus for allowing me to follow along with the audiobook.

Worth Every Minute of Listening Time
You know that feeling when you stumble across exactly what you needed right when you needed it? That's what this audiobook was for me. I've been dealing with anxiety and negative thought patterns for years, and honestly, I was a bit skeptical about another self-help book. But wow - the practical CBT techniques actually clicked for me. The narrator's approach felt like having a knowledgeable friend guide me through the fog in my head. No fluffy metaphors or unrealistic promises - just solid, actionable steps that I've already started using. The chapters on sleep and anxiety management were game-changers for me. Worth every minute of listening time!

Relaxing and Soothing
This is an extraordinary audiobook, it’s a little above 5 hours but a 5 hours worth every bit of second used. It is practical and engaging. Every chapter leaves you feeling relaxed, calm and relieved from every stress.
You have to fully embrace the process of healing to truly be healed and the narrator of this audiobook did exceptionally well in narrating this book in a subtle voice that creates an atmosphere of calm. If you are having difficulty sleeping or you are feeling distraught or just completely overwhelmed; I absolutely recommend the CBT audiobook for you. It’s informative and therapeutic

Guide and Workbook for Managing Mental Health
Angela Wade's book, Calm the Chaos: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Workbook for Adults, A Comprehensive CBT Guide for Managing Depression, Anxiety, and Stress, delves deeply into mental health, specifically anxiety, stress, and depression, providing explanations, steps, activities, and a CBT workbook to help transform chaos into calm. This book is comprehensive, and the author seems to have experience in intensely handling mental health issues (behaviors of anxiety, stress, and depression) from beginning to end. She realizes that thoughts control how we handle behavior that will lead us in or out of stages of mental health. She teaches us the art of reshaping our thoughts for a more positive mindset. She takes us into the family dynamics of how they handle anger, helps us with strategies to tackle depression, understands the initiatives and complexity of bipolar, and uses CBT workbook techniques (writing and answering questions as fact-finding) to manage our mental health. This audio teaches us how to challenge our insomnia to improve our sleep and help our mental health. She even uses storytelling therapy to connect our strengths and skills. Finally, she provides us with a bonus chapter on meditation and deep breathing to use in combating stress, anxiety, anger, and depression. This book is a perfect resource for people who have a challenging time controlling their thoughts and emotions, which could lead to unwanted mental illness. I highly recommend this book.

The workbook-style approach made it easy to apply what I was learning right away, and the examples felt relatable. It’s not just theory; it’s actionable advice for managing stress, negative thoughts, and overwhelm. At just under six hours, it’s a manageable listen with plenty of value. Highly recommend if you’re looking for practical tools to find balance!
