About this listen

Captain Tristan Kelley enjoys the luxuries of Regency service, as well as the pleasure of his prince's bed. It's an easy life, if not a happy one. When the prince decides to take a trip through the perilous Blind Space, Tristan must go with him, but somebody in the prince's guard is a traitor.

Blind and held prisoner, Tristan finds himself at the mercy of Valero, a pirate who bears no love for the Regency. Valero is determined to seduce Tristan, and Tristan fears his resolve won't last. His duty is clear, but so is his desire. As the days tick by with no word or ransom from the Regency, Tristan begins to question what loyalty means to his prince, the Regency he's sworn to, and to the man who holds him captive. He begins to realize that being a prisoner may actually set him free.

LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️ THIS BOOK! ++++

This book! This AUDIO! Gahhhh! I want to be in the middle of a Tristan and Valero sandwich. Blindfolded. I’m OK with my hands being tied and having my stockings ripped to get to the good parts. Of course, Tristan will be wearing his own lacy, silky underthings which Valero will uncontrollably rip away at.

Oh, I’m writing a review. Guess I got a little off track there in my space pirate/space captive fantasy. Sadly, I’m not in the book. Just Valero, the pirate, and Tristan, his blind and bound captive. The stocking thing? Ya, that happens. The panty thing, too. Damn, if only JCP’s mnems were a real thing, I would be so down with inserting this fantasy into my mental playground!!

Aside from making me lustfully wish I were aboard this pirate ship, this book kept me going vía characters and, wait for it....plot. Yes, one action led to another, eventually culminating in a climax (heh heh) and flowing into a nice warm pool of resolution. Yay, Marie Sexton!

My favorite part of this book was seeing Valero slowly wear Tristan down. Told from Tristan’s POV, I saw him struggle to restrain himself from giving himself over to Valero. When he finally does, it’s not just because he’s horny (although he is) it’s because of plot. It makes it so worth it and that much more real. Well, as real as being wined and dined by a pirate on a spaceship can be.

Audiobook fans: BUY THIS! Valero’s voice is dreamy and playful—and that’s all we know about him because Tristan is blind at present.

OK, I’m off to meditate about the vastness of space and pirate sandwiches!

Intriguing story

Marie Sexton writes a wide variety of genres within MM and is great at all of them. This story is somewhat sci-fi though it focuses more on romance than outer space action. Tristan and Valero are a great couple and their interactions were wonderful. The sex scenes are incredible. Hot and erotic.
I loved the ending.

Space pirates

Space pirates... gotta love 'em. If you don't, then this one isn't for you. This was a fun story. A bit predictable, but it felt like an old shoe (maybe a comfortable 2 inch closed-toe pump).

Excellent Story & Characters

The universe and characters in this story are exceptionally well developed which set the stage for an excellent story.

As strong as the universe and character are, it is a real shame there were not more stories set on this stage.

Fun little space pirate romp

What a fun little space pirate romp this was. Not a trope I normally read, but I love Marie Sexton's writing and I seem to have developed some kind of Pavlovian response to John Solo's voice.

We are thrown directly into the story, but the world building is still well done and at no point are you confused as to what is going on. Ms. Sexton seamlessly weave in facts about the world whilst telling the story, so the reader never gets lost.

Despite the fact that our two main characters are captor and prisoner, the relationship still develop quite organically and the plot ensures that any doubts you had about the power balance between Tristan and Valero are negated.

I warmly recommend this short audiobook. It's perfect entertainment for a long journey.

Corny but fun

Space pirates! Yes this book is just as cheesy as it sounds. I nearly stopped cause it was getting so predictably cliche, but John Solo's voice is a powerful thing and kept me going.
Captain Tristan Kelley is loyal to the space empire that conquered his planet as a child and has been blindly following the orders of his Prince as captain of his guard. But he's deeply under appreciated (cue violin) but wait! Space pirates board their ship and take them prisoner. And it is under the imprisonment of these pirates that Tristan learns what true loyalty and devotion mean. Also he had a lot of sex with his pirate captor. Like I said this book is cheesy. Also why do they have laser guns, but then have to shave with handheld blades? Like old school barbers. I feel like Marie Sexton perhaps didn't take full advantage of the sci-fi element that comes from a story about space pirates.
But the characters were thought-out and I'm never one to say 'no' to pirate-captive sex, so I still found this book enjoyable. I also must admit that I was surprised at what Tristan's secret kink turned out to be. That was a twist for me. And I was glad he managed to rise from the puddle of love-hazed goo he had become and show some spine in the end. It was a little touch and go there.
So all in all a fun book to pass an afternoon, but not earth shattering by any stretch.

Fantastic!

I was a little nervous when I heard that Blind Space had been made into an audio book because I really like this book and re-read it regularly. My nerves were totally unnecessary, as the narrator did an amazing job.

Please devour me Captain!

OMG!!! I freaking LOVE this book and I owe everything to Cupcake for discovering this book. While I was browsing books on GR, I saw her very enthusiastic and tempting review and I went and bought this book right away. And as she said, ”indeed, money well spent”. It was worth every penny. 👏👏👏

So we have captain Tristan Kelly who’s the captain of the prince’s personal guards. He doesn’t enjoy his job that much and he’s sharing his Prince’s bed rather as a duty than for pleasure. And our captain has a deep, dark, kinky fetish that he has never shared with anyone. And suddenly, their ship got captured by pirates and he found himself as a captive of these notorious pirates. And one pirate, Valero, seems to take interest in him and try to find out the deepest, darkest secrets of Tristan. And the thing is, Tristan wants his secret to be discovered more than anything and used against him by this insistent and sexy pirate. 😏

This is the kind of book you need to read yourself to enjoy it. It’s too good to hint and spoil. Let me just say, when Tristan finally surrendered to Valero, they saw stars, fireworks and whateverthehell of these SUPERNOVAS. 😱 The attraction is electrifying, hot and titillating. And the sex, ohhhhh, it’s so kinky and filthy and erotic. 😍 I just can’t get enough. I can’t!!!!!! I NEED more!!!! I’m going to read every single book of this author .. I swear! 😂 And the ending couldn’t be better and sweeter. Loved every single second of it! Again, thanks Cupcake. Love you! 😍❤️😘

Amazing!

This is an amazing scifi story. I love the whole world building that Marie Sexton has done. It makes it seem like I am there. I also just love Tristan and Valero. Then with the narration by John Solo is just amazing! He just takes a story to the next level. I absolutely love him!
