About this listen

A nerve-shredding action thriller from the author of Redemption. Fast-paced and gripping, Black List will appeal to fans of David Baldacci, Lee Child and Vince Flynn.

With no money and no prospects, hacker Alex Yates' life is going nowhere until he is given a lucrative but dangerous offer - £100,000 to breach the Central Intelligence Agency's network and recover a file known as the ‘Black List’. At first reluctant, the disappearance of an old friend leaves Alex with no choice but to return to a world he'd sworn to leave behind. But before he can unlock the file’s secrets, he finds himself the target of a nationwide manhunt. Someone wants him out of the picture fast. Plunged into a deadly race against time, and wanted by police, intelligence operatives and a ruthless covert unit, Alex is left with no choice but to accept help from the violent and unpredictable woman who first hired him.

Superb

I simply just enjoyed this authors wit on YouTube, thought I'd give his new book a try. Very glad I did. I don't regular these kinds of books, however this story is superb. I simply read it in 2 days, couldn't stop listening to it.

Also high makes on narration, so we'll done. Multiple voice's, tension levels, excellent.

Not sure why current entertainment sucks these days, because apparently, there is still ridiculous talent out there. Thank you for this beautiful and thrilling ride. Very well done 👍

Relatable. Different.

This is my favorite in the series thus far. it's fairly different than the previous entries, but that's a good thing. It's not drastically so, though. I can't wait to hear the rest.

Where is Ryan?

I liked Alex as a character. Took some getting used to not hearing from Ryan’s perspective but the story was quite enjoyable.

A really enjoyable change-up

There were a few technical issues gold issues that offended the historian and firearms enthusiast in me. Aside from that, this book was really an enjoyable different take on on will Jordan's series.

With twists like a pretzel factory, this was a very entertaining book, satisfying in a very unique and unexpected way.

There were a few points of information, tactical whoopsies in the story, items of incorrect history, and some minutia that should have been caught in editing, but don't let it distract you from the main story, which is excellent.

The issues with firearms, improper tactics, history of the city of Istambul, those are why I deducted 1 star.

This story is good, read it.

Will Jordan nails it again.

Griping novel that keeps the overall story arc going. Jordan knows how to keep the threads woven and make sense.

Entertaining But Missed Ryan Drake

The lack of Ryan Drake in this story was the only disappointing factor. As much as I like the character of Anya, she is better when she teams up with Ryan. They both are like meat and potatoes. They work much better together.

With that said, I enjoyed the pacing of the story. The reveal at the end was only surprising in some ways. I guessed that one of them would happen, and I was right.

As a stand-alone Anya story, I will recommend it.
