Publisher's summary

Billionaire. CEO. Single dad. And for the next seven days, this arrogant hunk is going to be my boss.

Easy, right? All I have to do is be a good nanny to Leif Sorensen's adorable, hell-raising, ballet-loving daughter. Keep my head down, my hands to myself, and forget about this silly crush I've been nursing for the past six years.

So he's big, and blond, and he stars in all my not-so-innocent "Hot Viking Ravages Innocent Maiden" fantasies? Who cares? Certainly not me. Nope.

My week-long contract is my ticket out of trouble, and I'm not going to mess it up. This payday is about to solve a lot of my problems. Then I'll move on.

Except . . . Leif has other ideas. Like, for example, when he tugs me into a spare room and demonstrates how similar his fantasies are to mine. It's purely intellectual, of course. We're just comparing notes.

But when my contract is over, I realize that I might have gotten myself into trouble instead of out of it. See, I've gone and fallen head over heels for my billionaire boss. And I do it before I realize what he's hiding from me . . . Oh—then I find out I'm pregnant.

Contains mature themes.

Good but Instant Love

The book is good if you love the insecure heroine, instant love, and Cinderella story. I just felt like the characters lacked depth and I didn’t think she or her family sounded very smart or that the story was believable. The narrators were good- and she’s a good author. It just needed a little more.

EXCELLENT NARRATORS!!

Billionaire Leif Sorenson is a single father to 7 year old Isla. He is in need of a Nanny for one week as Isla's regular Nanny has to take a week off. Leif hires Layla Reynolds, whom we first read about in bk1 of the series Big Bossy Mistake.

Layla's mother walked out on her and her sister when she was only 16 years old. Leaving them alone to fend for themselves. Layla took on the responsibility of raising her baby sister with a bit of help from her grandparents. They are so destitute Layla works 3 jobs just to support her and her sister. Her sister is now in college. She is a genius working toward a medical degree at 17 years old.

Layla and Isla get along very well and Leif has these physical attractions to her and soon finds himself totally in love with her. When Leif finds out the poor conditions Layla is living in he brings her and her sister to his Manhattan Penthouse which he uses only on occasion when he is stuck in the city for work. Layla was in love with Leif when they first met 6 years prior in a bar that she was working in. She doesn't think he remembers her.

The story and all the characters are very well written. Leif and Layla have a hot sensual relationship. They also, have a strong working relationship that builds between them over the entire story!

Love the story but…

I love the story but female reader not so much. Unfortunately, she read most of this story. She sounded like she’s out of breath while reading. Other than that, I have no complaint.

I like this one!

This one is definitely better than the first one. Although Shaina (female narrator) is still a sticking point for me - the enunciation of the end of words to try to sound like an accent is annoying. Not enough to stop me from going in the series, however!

Not for me. Too repetitive.

Both MCs have their hang-ups, and we discover what they are very early on. The problems for me was the times these hang-ups were repeated over, and over, and over, and over, and over... After the third time we get the idea, no need to go on, and on, and on, and on...

If it had not been for that, and the female narrator, I might have enjoyed the story a bit more. Stephen Borne's narration was very enjoyable, but not enough of it.

Please don't let my less than stellar review keep you from listening as we may have different views about it. This audiobook was just not for me.

Story's Good but not the female narrator

I quite enjoy Lillian Monroe's stories, and this series would be much enjoyable for me if I just read it and not listen to the female narrator that does not convey the intent of how the conversation should have went. The emotions are off, like when the ML should be saying something tender to the FL, and it would just sound like the ML was annoyed or miffed because that's the "default" emotion for the ML, nothing more.

DNF hated it!

I can’t I just can’t. Male narrator sounds like he smokes a carton a day and is 60. Story jumps all over I just can’t. Unfortunately I wasted a credit on this. It’s awful! Do not waste your time on it!
