LOU

I know it shouldn’t matter what people say about me. But when my parents told me that I would never find love because I liked guys, I was willing to do anything to prove them wrong.

So, when the most romantic guy ever asked me to marry him, I had to show him to them immediately. Was I moving too fast? Because as soon as I scored him an invitation to one of our obnoxious family get-togethers, he called things off.

Now, I need a fiancé to replace the one I thought I had or my parents will think they were right about me all along.

TITUS

I can’t tell you why Lou has dated so many guys, but watching him do it has torn me up inside. Now he needs someone to pretend to be his fiancé for a weekend. I’m his best friend. Of course I’m gonna do it.

Will it be weird pretending to be engaged to the man I’m in love with when he doesn’t even know I like guys? Yeah. But while I’m getting his parents to like me, maybe I’ll tell him how I feel.

It would have been the perfect plan if Lou’s ex didn’t suddenly show up wanting to win him back. He’s a star quarterback from a fancy zip code. I’m a small-town boy who was cut from the team. How can I compete with him?

And, how do I uncover the secret my mother's hiding that could change things between me and Lou forever?

With everything going on, do Lou and I even have shot at living happily ever after? My aching heart hopes so. But I don’t have a lot of time to find out.

Note: This book is a part of the author's "Love is Love Collection", meaning that it is available as a spicy romance in My Best Friend, a wholesome romance in I Don’t Date My Best Friend, a steamy wolf-shifter romance in Mate’s Curse, and a Male/Male romance in Best Friend Trouble.

Wow

Wow that was a plot twist. Wasn’t expecting the brother reveal to end like that. Interesting hope the next book can shed some light.

save your money or credits

I bought the first 3 books in the series not knowing each book has the previous books. I hates the characters so much even listening at 3.5 speed wasn't enough I had to skip just to get through it. If these books are your thing save your money and get the last book.

Sweet, romantic stories.

I liked all 3 stories since found family always tugs at my heart strings and nerd/jock is a favorite trope, only to find out that the series was also released as MF set in Snowy Falls instead of Snow Tip Falls. I'm trying to give the author the benefit of the doubt, but it does seem a bit dishonest.

Was this an experiment?

The premise seemed like a reasonable listen; but, the writing felt like someone entered the following words into an A.I. script writer: gay, romance, East Tennessee, football, brother.

The entire story was bouncing between backwoods homophobia and “We’re not like that…”

After the first 30 minutes of listening I could only continue listening by imagining that this work is a piece of satire. I stopped at the 14 hour mark as the story seemed to double back on one of the previous arc’s storylines.

All of the characters are all very one dimensional too.

All-in-all a very weird experience.
