Publisher's summary

Jane Yellowrock and the Younger brothers, partners in Yellowrock Securities, are hired by the state of Louisiana to track, hunt, and dispatch a small pack of marauding werewolves. They may be part of the larger pack that Jane destroyed in the novel Mercy Blade. The job sounds easy on the surface, but is anything ever easy for Jane or her Beast?

Very good action story.

I liked it. It fit my mood.Sometimes you just need to kill something that needs killing. The right amount of violence for the situation. On task on target as required. That's one wolf that won't hurt anyone ever again, however I don't know about the other one.

terrific story, terrific listen

I love listening to Hvam read Hunter's work. Can't imagine anyone doing it better. I'm never confused about which character is speaking. Eli always sounds like Eli, for example.

Fantastic

Another great piece of written creativity. I love the Jane Yellowrock series and I find this novella to be as good as the full length novels.

There are werewolves and there are werewolves

Would you consider the audio edition of Beneath a Bloody Moon to be better than the print version?

Do not have the print version so cannot give opinion.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beneath a Bloody Moon?

When Jane is screwed by a limb of a tree and Eli and Ricky have to cut her down and pullout the limb.

Which character – as performed by Khristine Hvam – was your favorite?

Sarge, a Vietnam veteran who has a boat and a plane.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

When Jane holds the Kid down in dog form and cleans his face, I liked how this made me laugh.

Any additional comments?

Very interesting dialogue and discussion about lea lines, past civilisations, the history we keep and the need to publish making us blind.

Moons up!

I loved this little short. You get to see a lot more of Jane and he boys, aka Eli and Alex while they work on a case for Rick.

Werewolves (who the townsfolk think are wild dogs) are terrorizing a small town. Leaving dead bodies and causing havoc. Yellowrock and team bust into town in order to do a little surveillance but things change quickly.

The weres are on a mission and won’t be going down easily.

The gangs all here.

This was another great short by Faith Hunter. I liked how Jane had to work with other paranormals in this addition, it helps to see how extraordinary she really can be. Her ability to skin walk is so interesting and ever changing. Khristine Hvam is the perfect southern voice for Jane.

Delicious!

Rickyboy and Jane have a rare chemistry when they work together. I miss that in later books.
Of course the world building is perfect. You feel like you are there in the flesh with them.
The hunt for the rogues is thrilling and dangerous!
Most excellent narration. The deep southern accent is a great addition even if Rickyboy's accent is not Cajun enough.
Jane's Southern sounds much like you would expect a gal from the Carolinas to talk like!
Wonderful!
