Publisher's summary

Is your worldview enlightened enough to accommodate both science and God at the same time?

Dr. Michael Guillen, a best-selling author, Emmy award-winning journalist and former physics instructor at Harvard, used to be an atheist ― until science changed his mind. Once of the opinion that people of faith are weak, small-minded folks who just don’t understand science, Dr. Guillen ultimately concluded that not only does science itself depend on faith, but faith is actually the mightiest power in the universe.

In Believing Is Seeing, Dr. Guillen recounts the fascinating story of his journey from atheism to Christianity, citing the latest discoveries in neuroscience, physics, astronomy, and mathematics to pull back the curtain on the mystery of faith as no one ever has.

Is it true that “seeing is believing?” Or is it possible that reality can be perceived most clearly with the eyes of faith ― and that truth is bigger than proof? Let Dr. Guillen be your guide as he brilliantly argues for a large and enlightened worldview consistent with both God and modern science.

Clear and compelling evidence for faith in a higher power.

Scientific reasoning is on clear display in this comprehensive dive into faith and Christianity. More information than I expected and it is very compelling.

A much needed discussion on faith

Michael Guillen’s discussion on faith is much needed in today’s diverse world. It was honest, powerful, and important. This book will be warmly embraced or stubbornly discarded, depending on the faith of its reader. Thanks, Michael. Well said!

Only GOD knows the NeverKnown.

This book is fantastic. Every high school student would benefit themselves many years of hard knocks by giving this author a listen. The many lessons learned thru experiences of his life are worth a gallon of gold. It's filled with mistakes and blessings combined. At 72 y.o. I can vouch for and add to many of life's paths taken and side stepped by the, oh so wise,, author. Bravo, Doc.

Worthwhile and Thoughtful

A refreshing and worthwhile testimonial that explores one scientist’s journey towards a more expansive and fulfilling world view. Guillen is thoughtful and challenging, generous and helpful. He’s not dogmatic. He truly is a freethinker. I wish there were more books like this.

excellent book. I took many science courses but Michael Guillen really has wonderful insight. I especially loved chapter 4 about light, but every chapter is good. Thank you for writing this.
