Publisher's summary

In the newest addition to the New York Times-bestselling series, Stone Barrington comes face-to-face with a beautiful woman from his past....

Stone Barrington receives a rather unexpected phone call from Arrington Calder, the ex-girlfriend with whom he has a son. Arrington's much older husband, the actor Vance Calder, has just died, leaving her a fortune in Centurion Studios stock. Arrington has plans for the money and asks Stone to represent her in the sale of the company. But when he arrives at her home in Bel-Air to finalize the deal, things take a nasty turn. It seems many of Hollywood's rich and beautiful have Arrington and Centurion in their sights, and Stone finds himself dragged into a surprisingly deadly web of intrigue.

Abbott and Costello Meet the movies...!!

billionaires, Bentley's, Krug Grande Cuvee, lobster salad and of course murder. our Intrepid Heroes are off to the West Coast of La La Land and the Rich and Famous. after listening to 20 Adventures of stone and Dino I still can't wait for the next one. another great Corkscrew plot and under suspected predictable Jack in the Box ending. Arrington actually sounds like a real person in this one. Roberts reading is quite palatable in this one also. another fine job mr. Woods.

Lots of fun for Stone and Dino. Stone at his best.

If you could sum up Bel-Air Dead in three words, what would they be?

A fun read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bel-Air Dead?

I enjoyed reading about LA. I think the pompous characters are hilarious.

Any additional comments?

Tony Roberts does a great job narrating. He's always consistent.

Classic Stuart Woods

This book follows the same formula as all of the other SW books i've read. If you're a SW fan, you'll like this book. It's nothing new. Comfortable and fun! loved it!

Fun summer enterainment

What made the experience of listening to Bel-Air Dead the most enjoyable?

I enjoy the narrator very much. He does a great job delinetaing between the characters.

If you’ve listened to books by Stuart Woods before, how does this one compare?

This is a typical Stuart Woods storyline but it is entertaining with some twists.

What about Tony Roberts’s performance did you like?

Excellent! I have heard one other narrator and I was very disappointed. Mr. Roberts' makes the story come alive!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

No idea.

Any additional comments?

No.

One of the best storylines so far (IMHO)

I've listened to 20 of these now. The narrator is still so bad. The only person I can ALWAYS know is Dino. Everyone else sounds exactly the same as each other. Male and female.

I loved this story. First, because Herbie Fisher wasn't in it. Second, because for once Stone managed to keep it in his pants most of the book. Seems that if fifteen or so years have gone by, he should be slowing down just a little bit.

I love Dino more than I do Stone. I don't know what Stone would do without him.

Good Storyline-Enjoyable Read

Good book. easy to follow. The Narrator was spot on, as usual. Clear and very articulate. The storyline was very good. Enjoyed Stone and Arrington getting closer. Looking forward to reading more Stone Barrington series.

Better than Most

One of the better Barrington books. Stone weaves a clever plot to enable Arrington (his former lover and mother of his child) to retain control of a Hollywood studio owned by her former husband. Twisty enough for you? Stone and Dino are not in NYC, a delightful change and the amounts of money thrown around are phenomenal. Stone gets laid several times, as usual, but one of them doesn't get killed...that's odd for a Barrington novel. Dino's role helps bring the protagonist to justice after many bad acts. The plot involves Ed Eagle, a Santa Fe lawyer and his edgy ex-, bringing together a couple of Woods' plot strings. This one is #20 in the series and is better than most.
