About this listen
A gripping espionage thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Beirut Station takes readers on a thrilling journey through the complex and dangerous world of Beirut in 1997. Nava Sarsi, one of Iran’s most talented intelligence officers, has been given a delicate assignment – to work with and spy on Lebanese Hezbollah. As Nava investigates the disappearance of a Hezbollah commander and tries to recover missing funds, she discovers that hardline factions in Iran are pressing for a resumption of war in Lebanon and confrontation with the United States. With the help of a handful of a few American-born mercenaries, Nava must find a way to free an American hostage and prevent war from breaking out. But when things take a deadly turn and Nava finds herself the chief suspect in her boss’s murder, she must fight to clear her name and seek justice. Beirut Station is a gripping spy novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Different angle than US or Uk.
Really disliked the virtual voice! Very bland, one tone voice, with no emotional intent. Difficult to listen to. I didn't finish the book.

Computer Narration
The narration was computer generated (rather than a live reader) and it was terrible. The voicing was devoid of emotion, many words/phrases were mispronounced or garbled, and it was hugely distracting. As a result, it was hard to get engrossed in the story.

Intriguing story, terrible narration.
A great spy story told from a unusual point of view. The AI narration however was like finger nails on a chalkboard, that despite the terrific story arc almost had me turn it off at several points.
