About this listen

Let me tell you a curious story about the time I visited Mount Thabor, and how that visit will transform your devotion to Mary.

I’ll never forget when I first laid eyes on Mount Thabor, where Jesus appeared with Moses and Elijah.

The Saints typically tell you that Moses represents the law and Elijah represents the prophets.

But here’s what I got out of the story.

Moses and Elijah were 2 of 3 people in the Old Testament (the other being Jonah) who felt so overburdened with the trials of life, that they asked God to end their lives immediately.

Moses pleaded: “I beseech Thee to kill me, and let me find grace in Thy eyes, that I be not afflicted with so great evils” (Nm. 11:15).

And the Bible tells us about Elijah: “And when he was there, and sat under a juniper tree, he requested for his soul that he might die, and said: It is enough for me, Lord, take away my soul” (1 Kgs. 19:4).

Listen.

I don’t know if you’ve ever felt as overburdened with the trials of life as Moses and Elijah did, but I have.

The good news is that this devotion to Mary will help you in ways no other devotion to her can. Here’s why…

St. Louis de Montfort wrote:

“Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit” (“The Secret of Mary”, #1).

This book spells out for you the whats, whys, and hows of St. Louis’ consecration to Mary.

It’s also two-books-in-one. The second book is “Why Consecrate Myself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary?”

Here’s one of the main benefits St. Louis says you get when you practice this devotion to Mary:

“Experience will teach you much more about this devotion than I can tell you; and if you remain faithful to the little I have taught you, you will find so many rich fruits of grace in this practice that you will be surprised and filled with joy” (Secret, #53).

Blessed Pope Pius IX stated:

“God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is His will, that we obtain everything through Mary.”

He also declared that St. Louis’ devotion to Mary was the best and most acceptable form of devotion to Our Lady, which means this is the best way to help Our Lady carry out her mission of saving sinners.

Our Lady wants you to share in her compassion for sinners, and she asks for your help to save them.

To emphasize this, she showed the three shepherd children at Fatima a vision of hell, and told them…

“You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish throughout the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.”

And on Aug. 19, 1917, she told them, “Pray, pray a great deal, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because they have no one to sacrifice and pray for them.”

And so, there are souls who not only need you to practice devotion to her, but this specific devotion to her.

That’s because St. Louis also emphasized that this devotion is “more glorious to God, more sanctifying to the soul, and more useful to the neighbor, than any other of the devotions to her” (True Devotion, #118).

The Bible tells us: “And those who lead many to justice shall be like the stars forever” (Dan. 12:3).

And…

“He must know that whoever causes a sinner to be converted from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:20).

Since it’s God’s will to save all souls through Mary, nothing will make you happier than helping her save souls.

Let’s help Mary in her mission of saving souls! Claim your copy of “Consecration to the Blessed Virgin according to St. Louis de Montfort” now.
