About this listen

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Artemis Fowl and the Atlantis Complex, the seventh awesome book in the best-selling Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. Read by the actor Gerry O'Brien.

Will the real Artemis Fowl please stand up? Criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl has summoned an elite group of high-tech fairies to Iceland. He wants to present his invention to save the world from global warming. But something terrible has happened to him. Artemis Fowl has become nice.

The fairies diagnose Atlantis Complex (aka multiple-personality disorder) - dabbling in magic has damaged Artemis's mind. And now the subterranean city of Atlantis is under attack from vicious robots and nice Artemis is no use to anyone. Can fairy ally Captain Holly Short get devious Artemis back before they strike?

Eoin Colfer was born and raised in Wexford, in the southeast of Ireland. He began writing plays at an early age and, as an adult, continued to write. Artemis Fowl, his first book featuring the brilliant young anti-hero, was an immediate international best seller and won several prestigious awards.

Really good.

This book(Artemis Fowl and the Atlantis Complex) is an amazing book and is one of my favourite from the entire series. The antagonist( Former L.E.P officer Turnbull Root) is a really cool character and is a good pirate-like person that kids(Age 9-11) will most likely enjoy his development into insanity. I also like the way that the two groups of “good guys” are separated (3 in Mexico, 3 in the Atlantic) and that they are struggling and provides a little more interesting descriptions. The brother sister team up is also a really neat thing. The performance by Gerry is AMAZING and I wish he did the last book(The last guardian). He is such a good voice actor and expresses the characters really well

Overall: REALLY GOOD AUDIOBOOK

A Great Fun Listen

As a long time fan of this book series, I find myself returning to them like a safe place every time I feel down. The prod on this was excellent and O'Brien is wonderful at giving all characters their own distinct voice, making the listening even more enjoyable. I really recommend starting this series if you want a light read full of humour and at times, emotional rollercoasters. Though it is a teen series I still enjoy it fully in my mid-20s, the themes of magic and technology blending together gives the world and my imagination a certain blue spark.

This was so much fun!!

This was so much fun (and so funny as well, there was bantering left, right and throughout)!!
Probably my favorite Artemis Fowl book, even though we didn't have Artemis execute his signature masterplan. Instead, having him struggle with mental health was unexpected, but it actually made for a very good character progression, in my opinion, as well as provided an unexpected sense of relatability to Artemis.

Even not having Nathaniel Parker as a narrator did not lessen my enjoyment (Gerry O'Brien is a good narrator imo, but I am just so used to Parker since I listened to most of this series with his narration).
