About this listen
A horrifying secret rises in the aftermath of an archangelic war in New York Times best-selling author Nalini Singh's deadly and beautiful Guild Hunter world....
The Archangel of Death and the Archangel of Disease may be gone but their legacy of evil lives on - especially in Africa, where the shambling, rotting creatures called the reborn have gained a glimmer of vicious intelligence.
It is up to Titus, archangel of this vast continent, to stop the reborn from spreading across the world. Titus can't do it alone, but of the surviving powerful angels and archangels, large numbers are wounded, while the rest are fighting a surge of murderous vampires.
There is no one left...but the Hummingbird. Old, powerful, her mind long a broken kaleidoscope. Now she must stand at Titus's side against a tide of death, upon a discovery more chilling than any other. For the Archangel of Disease has left them one last terrible gift....

Beautifully Written
I loved hearing the story of the Hummingbird come to life, even though this is part of a series Archangel’s Sun stands on its own with an unexpected sweetness that I really enjoyed.

Swooning !!!
I've read all the books in the guild hunter series and it was a delight to listen to the Humming bird & Titus story. I would advise readers to read the series in order but if you start with this one I assure you that you will want to know what came before..... Nalini Singh is a talented writer and so far has exceeded all expectations every time I read one of her stories.
I can't wait for the next one to come along.
Good navigation !!

GREAT WORLD-BUILDING, GOOD STORY BUT..
Every step of the way I’ve been with the Guild Hunters, Angels, Vampires and Archangels as they battle their enemies and Nalini Singh is absolutely fantastic at world-building this paranormal world of good vs evil. The chemistry between heroes and heroines are sizzling and fraught with danger and angst.. and the passion and romance leaves you swooning in breathless delight. However, with Titus and Sharini’s story, it felt more about uncovering Charisemnon’s secrets and finding his infectious deadly ‘reborn’ that threatens Africa after the earth-shattering war in the skies of New York than a romance. Oh the growing attraction, telling looks and brief intimate wing touches are there between these two powerful Archangels in occasional chapters, but the ‘dance’ comes way too long and brief in the story imo. For any Guild Hunter fan this is still a must because it reveals back-stories, connections and takes the storyline further. Good dual POV narration by Justine Eyre.
WORTH A CREDIT? Yes I’m definitely a fan of this alternate world even if I found this one a tiny wee bit disappointing.
